異丙醇混合燃料應用在汽油引擎之研究

摘要


因醇類燃料是屬於富氧燃料,有助於SI引擎於燃燒時更完全。且異丙醇燃料性質近似於乙醇又是親油性醇類燃料,故可直接混合石化汽油使用於SI引擎上,以促進燃料燃燒更為完全,達到燃燒溫度降低,使NOX排放量減少,並解決乙醇燃料與民爭食之問題。 目前醇類燃料主要研究在於甲醇和乙醇燃料居多,但是在異丙醇上的應用研究較少。故本研究使用汽油以及P3(石化汽油中混合3%異丙醇)和P10(石化汽油中混合10%異丙醇)等三種燃料做為實驗燃料。經實驗結果證明,添加異丙醇燃料有較高的能源效率及較低的廢氣排放汙染物,符合目前重視的節能與環保的議題,且燃料本身較其他醇類燃料對金屬和橡膠的影響較小,無須對燃油系統做修改,可直接使用於機車引擎上。

Since the alcohol alternative fuels are oxygen-rich fuel, the combustion of the fuel is more complete when using in the SI engine. The isopropyl alcohol is one of the effective ways to increase the combustion of the fuel due to the nature of isopropyl alcohol is not only similar to the ethanol but also is a lipophilic alcohol fuel. By using the mixed petrochemical gasoline in SI engines, it effectively promotes complete combustion, reduces the temperature of combustion in the engine, and decreases the NOX emissions. The research in alcohol alternative fuels is more focus on the methanol and ethanol fuel, but less applied research on the isopropyl alcohol. In this paper, the use of gasoline and the P3 (Sinopec petrol mixed 3% isopropyl alcohol) and P10 (petrochemical gasoline mixed with 10% isopropyl alcohol) are used as the experimental fuel. The experimental results show that the isopropyl alcohol based fuels have high energy efficiency and lower emission of pollutants. It is in line with the current emphasis of energy conservation and environmental issues. Furthermore, the fuel can be used directly in the motorcycle engine without any modify to the current fuel system due to the effect to metal and rubber is lesser than other alcohol fuels.
