以活動為中心的設計 - 探討平板電腦的使用情境

摘要


電腦對人們的生活影響日與俱增,它的型態也因為技術、使用目的、功能、情境不同而有所改變。近年來,智慧型手機的普及化及平板電腦熱潮爆發,確實的影響了使用者的生活習性。本研究用〝以活動為中心的設計〞(Avtivity-Centered Design)的觀點來探討平板電腦使用者的使用情境,將重點放在人、事、時、地、物之間的關係,不同於〝以使用者為中心的設計〞(User- Centered Design)所關注的人因、介面、認知心理、使用性等議題。 本研究利用頭戴式攝影機進行第一人稱的觀察,記錄使用者日常生活的使用情境,再利用活動理論的系統來進行分析,最後歸納出使用者的活動特徵如下:(1)工作背景影響活動內容;(2)情緒與習慣帶入活動;(3)利用其他裝置輔助平板電腦使用;(4)利用平板電腦輔助其他裝置;(5)文件格式導致活動障礙;(6)所處環境的規範影響活動;(7)參與者間接影響活動結果;(8)將平板電腦做為溝通的道具;(9)積極與社群交流;(10)社群提供的資訊價值大。以及平板電腦的使用情境特徵如下:(1)使用者可以依活動內容選擇活動場所;(2)使用者除了分享內容,還同時分享操作;(3)轉移活動的主從關係。綜合使用者活動特徵十項以及平板電腦使用情境特徵三項,提出六項設計開發建議:(1)與多媒體周邊裝置互補;(2)與其他裝置文件格式整合;(3) 社群隱私;(4) 開發手勢調整畫面方向;(5)利用社群黏性吸引使用者進行創造型活動;(6)收集使用者回饋,統整社群資訊。

The influence of computers on people's lives is greater than before. Computers forms are also changed because of the difference of technology, function, context and purpose. In recent years, the popularity of smart phones and Tablet PC fervor indeed impacted the living habits of the user. In this study, Activity-Centered Design (ACD) view to explore the context of use of Tablet PC. It’s different from the User-Centered Design (UCD), concerned about the issues like human factors, interfaces, cognitive psychology, usability, but focus on the relationship between people, things, time, space and object. This study using Mobile Eyewear Recorder for the first-person perspective observation, record the users’ Tablet PC usage scenarios. Then, analyze the scenario by using the system of Activity Theory. Summarized the features of the user's activities as follows: (1) Working background influsnce the activities; (2) Bring emotions and habits into the activities; (3) Using other devices to assist Tablet PC; (4) Using Tablet PC to assist other devices; (5) File format led to the obstacles of use; (6) environmental norms influence activities; (7) Participants indirectly affect the results of activities; (8) Tablet PC as the medium of the communication; (9) Active with the community; (10) Community provide valuable information. And scenario features of Tablet PC as follows: (1) User select conditions according to the activities; (2) In addition to sharing content, the user also shared operations; (3) Transfer the activities of principal and subordinate relationship. Comprehensive the ten features of the user's activities and three scenario features of Tablet PC, the study propose six design and development recommendations: (1) Tablet PC and multimedia devices supporting each other; (2) Integrating file format with other devices; (3) Community privacy; (4) Develop gestures for adjust the screen orientation; (5) Attracting user to do creative activities by adhesive community; (6) Collecting users’ feedback, and then organize community information.
