公共藝術除了將藝術展現在公共空間之外,重要的是如何使民眾參與於藝術之中;然而,地域的限制,往往讓民眾不易參與於公共藝術。而數位的方式,降低了創作門檻,網路的出現,讓藝術得以跨越地域時空。因此,本創作嘗試建立一個網路上的數位公共藝術空間,並透過藝術家的帶領,提供特定的積木元素,以拼排的方式降低創作的門檻,讓參與的民眾,不論其美學訓練的高低,皆能以簡單易用的方式,創作屬於自己的數位藝術作品,藉以突破公共藝術的限制。 為此,本研究評估具設計背景者和非設計背景者兩族群,對於創作功能使用性評估之差異,進而了解創作功能是否能撇除背景訓練的影響,讓兩族群皆能覺得易於使用。並分析兩族群所完成的作品特性,以驗證創作之實踐。而研究結果發現,兩族群對於創作功能的使用性評估雷同,且持正面態度;而超過八成的作品,皆有試著改變積木的大小、旋轉與前後關係,並重製積木來完成比例的美感,引出了使用本平台創作的作品,所具備的獨特性。最後期望本創作研究之經驗,對於未來公共藝術與數位互動的結合,能有所參考與貢獻。
Citizen participation is an important concept in public art, but the geographical boundaries are often restricted peoples to participate in public art. However, digital technology reduce the threshold for Art-making. Internet art is a timeless and transnational form of art. Therefore, this work attempts to establish a digital public space for art, and provides people with an easy way to make their own digital creation by artists lead. To break the barrier of traditional limits of public art with the ubiquitous network and the features of digital. To find out whether the platform is easy-to-use for anyone who may be from non-design backgrounds, this study evaluate a comparison of the usability for design background and non-design background subjects. And analyze their works to find out the features of this platform. This research results provide the platform has good usability for participants, but non-design background subjects need more help and tips. More than 80% subjects tried to scale, rotate, move, and repeat an object in their work. It explain the features of this platform. In this preliminary study, we tried to combine of public art, digital art, and internet art. Not only give the artists some suggestions by the result of the research, but also expect to contribute the achievement to public art in devoting the efforts.
