The Design of Home Care Products for the Aged

摘要

臺灣人口結構發展將是高齡化與少子化並存之現象，為改善高齡者生活面臨慢性疾病、因老化導致生理機能衰退之影響，同時解決未來照護人力資源不足與老人獨居問題，創作三項可提供居家醫療照護服務、減少意外傷害之安養照護產品。
　　作品一為適合高齡者居家照護使用之智慧型機器人。作品透過環境感知技術融合多種感測器，利用影像、人臉及語音命令辨識及影像追蹤系統，經由智慧化控制軟體協助高齡的慢性病及憂鬱症得以自我照顧並得到適當的醫療管理與社會支持。作品二為具有血壓量測及脈搏、體溫監測功能，可在生理訊號發生異常時提供必要警訊之健康監測手錶，使高齡者能隨時注意血壓狀況、關心自己的健康。作品兼具緊急傳呼與衛星定位功能，使高齡者在遇到危機時可聯繫緊急聯絡人，方便救難協尋，把握黃金救援時間。作品三乃適合高齡者使用之助行輔具－手杖。作品除了滿足基本的跌倒預防、支撐使用者重量之需求外，透過開發模組套件，手杖可升級新的功能來持續使用，舊的模組也可再回收利用，協助解決高齡者生活中常見的危機與不便。
　　完成之作品以公開展演與設計競賽之方式進行檢驗，最後整合觀賞者意見於檢討後提出改善建議。

The population structure of our nation is moving towards an aging and low-birthrate society. To address the problems encountered by aged people caused by their chronic diseases and age-related physical degradation and solve the future problems of insufficient human resources in their home care and living alone, three home care products for senior citizens is created to provide them with medical care services and reduce their accidental injuries.
　　Project one is an intelligent robot for senior citizens' home care. Adopting ambient intelligence technology and incorporating multiple sensors, this robot is equipped with image, human face and audio recognition systems, image tracing system and an intelligent control software, enabling it to assist the elderly with chronic diseases and depression in their self-care and provide them with appropriate medical management and social support. Project two is a health monitoring watch capable of monitoring blood pressure, pulse and body temperature. When there are any anomalies in physical signals, warning signals will be given off. It can constantly remind aged people of their blood pressure and health condition. This watch also has the functions of emergency call and GPS to connect with contact persons in emergent situations and helps locating the aged to provide first aid within golden rescue time. Project three is a walking stick for the elderly. In addition to the basic functions of fall prevention, body weight supporting, this stick adopts modular design allowing future upgrade of new functions. Old modules can be recycled. It is very helpful to the prevention of crises and inconveniences frequently encountered by aged people in their daily lives.
　　The finished works were examined through open exhibitions and design competitions. The final improvement suggestions is made based on the combined opinions of viewers.
