摘要

對於安全的重視，以及節省人力資源，促使了監控系統的發展，加諸以電腦及網路設備的發展，更促使了監控系統的蓬勃發展，而現今的監控系統已經做了多面向的整合，像是錄影、警告、遠端監看、調閱舊歷史資料、相關密碼鎖定、遠端控制等，讓使用者不僅能更安全且能更便利地使用監控系統。

本研究旨在研究互動式的行動監控系統，在主從式架構下，在使用了Xvid的影像壓縮技術以及GSM610的語音壓縮技術下，結合多媒體串流，以PDA當作客戶端，除了接收從伺服器端所發送出的影像及聲音訊息外，還能即時地將行動端的資訊送回給伺服端，另外本系統還整合了動態偵測警告，以及擷取畫面資料等功能。

In recent years, digital surveillance system has attracted more attentions from researchers due to the demand on advanced features. In addition, the improvement of computer technology and the increase of network bandwidth enhance and glorify the digital surveillance technology. Nowadays, many functions have been integrated into the digital surveillance systems, such as recording, warning, remote monitoring, historical data playback, secret code and remote control that makes the users use the systems safer and more efficient.

This study is aimed at developing a subsystem of an interactive digital surveillance system. Under Client-Server architecture, we use the XviD video and the GSM610 speech compression techniques to combine with the multimedia streaming technology. In this study, the server is PC-based and the client is PDA-based. The system we developed receives the multimedia data from server on one hand, and sends real-time multimedia data that the client gathered back to the server on the other hand. In addition, the system also integrates motion detection warning and screen capture capability.
