Leisure and Life Adaptation of the New Immigrants from Southeast Asia in Taoyuan County

摘要

本研究對象為東南亞新移民，採用問卷調查法以359位桃園縣新移民為研究樣本進行資料蒐集整理。研究中根據受試者所填答之「休閒種類」、「休閒動機」、「生活適應」及「社經地位」等資料利用SPSS Windows12.0中文版進行此四類變項之描述性統計及皮爾森積差相關分析以驗證假設，檢證結果顯示：
1.「休閒種類」與「生活適應」有顯著相關。
2.「休閒類型」與「生活適應」有顯著相關。
3.「休閒動機」與「社會適應」有顯著相關。
4.「社經地位」與「生活適應」有顯著相關。
然後以多元迴歸分析生活適應。最後就研究結果進行綜合討論，並提出相關建議。新移民有休閒的需求，參與休閒的種類愈高生活適應愈好，參與休閒的動機愈高對社會適應愈好。休閒除了可以紓解其新移民的壓力外，參與各類型休閒對其生活適應上來說均有助益，提高其生活品質。因此，休閒對新移民生活適應的影響很大。

The subjects of this research are Southeast Asian immigrants. The research is adopted the questionnaire survey method, using 359 new immigrants in Taoyuan County as research samples to conduct data collecting and collation. According to “Leisure Type ”, “Leisure Motivation”, Life Adaptation”, Society Economic Status” and other information collected from the subjects’ answered sheets during the research, the research is utilized SPSS, Windows 12.0 Chinese edition to perform these four variable descriptive statistics and Pearsen product-moment correlation analysis to verify the suppositions.The verification results show that:
1. The leisure frequency is positively associated with the
life adaptation.
2. The leisure type is positively associated with the life
adaptation.
3. The leisure motivation is positively associated with the
social adaptation
4. The social economic status is positively associated with
the life adaptation.
The research is utilized multiple regression prediction to analyze life adaptation. Finally, using these research findings, I had carried out synthesize discussion and put forward the following related suggestions:
The new immigrants have a demand for leisure. The higher the frequency they participate in leisure, the better is their adaptation to living; and the higher they participate in leisure motivation, the better is their adaptation to the society. Apart from the fact that leisure is capable to relief the stress of the new immigrants, to participate in various types of leisure activities is also beneficial to their life adaptation and improving their life quality. Hence, leisure has a profound influence to the life adaptation of the new immigrants.
