親子互動、親子教育期望差異與學業成績之關係-以桃園地區社區小學為例

摘要


社會學在討論影響學業成就的原因時,通常會從兩個面向去探討。其中一個面向是社經地位對學業成績的直接影響,另一個面向是社經地位透過人力資本、財物資本、社會資本對於學業成績的影響。為了探討這兩個面向對於學業成績的影響,本研究將針對桃園地區兩所國小四年級學生進行問卷調查,並以期中考成績作為學業成績的指標,探討社經地位、親子互動、親子教育期待對於學業成績的影響。研究結果顯示就親子互動而言,親子互動愈佳學童學業成績愈高。就教育期待而言,家長對子女有越高的期待、子女本身有愈高的期待以及親子教育期待愈趨一致,學童學業成績也會愈高,因此家庭內的社會資本理論與人力資本理論在本研究中可以獲得支持。此外學童參與校外課程也會提高學業成績,財物資本理論亦可獲得支持。然而社經地位的直接影響卻只在其中一所學校獲得支持,因此社經地位的直接影響力在本研究中對於學業成績的解釋力不高,不如人力資本、財物資本與社會資本的解釋力。

In sociology, we usually discuss two factors when concerning influence on academic performance. One is the direct influence of SES on academic performance and the other one is influence of SES through human capital, financial capital and social capital on academic performance. To probe influence of these 2 factors on academic performance, a questionnaire has been proceed in this survey on forth grade students in two primary schools in Taoyun area. The questionnaire is using mid-term examination score as index to probe influence of SES, family interaction and parent’s expectation on academic performance. As a result, it shows a better family interaction leads a better academic performance; a higher parents’ expectation and children’s higher expectation on themselves which means a unified family educational expectation lead a better academic performance. Therefore, theory of social capital and human capital within family is supported in this study. It also shows extra classes after school also helping to raise academic performance which means financial capital theory is also supported in this study at this point. However, the direct influence of SES on academic performance is only appealed and supported on questionnaire in one school. In conclusion, SES can’t be interpreted has a more important direct influence than through human capital, financial capital and social capital.
