英語互動式多媒體教學系統之研究-以科技接受模式之觀點分析

摘要


本研究旨在探討國際學生對於英語互動式多媒體教學系統ELLIS的接受使用程度,期望藉由科技接受模式(TAM),分析影響在全美語的學習環境下接受ELLIS系統的因素。 本研究透過文獻探討,試圖從科技接受模式之內涵,及人口特質與電腦自我效能等外部變項對模型影響程度,建立本研究之基礎研究架構。研究對象是以就讀加州大學某分校國際教育學程的學生、並且使用過ELLIS系統者為主,希冀藉由置身於全美語學習環境的英語學習者實際使用方式,探究使用互動式多媒體教學系統ELLIS的學習成效。 本研究之主要研究結果如下: 一、國際學生中以年齡層於21歲以上者、教育程度大學以上之人口特質,對於使用ELLIS系統有較高行為意願。 二、學生之電腦自我效能程度,與認知易用及認知有用有正向相關。 三、學生之認知易用性與認知有用性間有正向相關。 四、認知易用與認知有用程度對使用ELLIS之行為意願有顯著預測力。 歸納上述,當置身全美語的英語學習環境下之國際學生,能容易的去使用操作簡單易用之ELLIS系統作為自學方式,同時亦認為藉由系統可提高學習效能,是願意採用ELLIS系統作為英語自學的工具。最後依據研究結果,提供相關建議作為語文相關之互動式多媒體教學系統開發業者、以及英語教學單位參考,亦作為其他後續研究之應用。

The purpose of this study is to investigate international students' acceptance of the English Interactive Multimedia Learning System, ELLIS. We hope to analyze the factors among English speakers that would affect their acceptance of ELLIS based on the theory of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). This paper intends to build up the research model based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the external variables which are Demographic Characteristics and Computer Self-Efficacy. The research sample is focused on students who are taking the International Program at UCR-Extension Center and have used ELLIS. Therefore, this research investigates the effectiveness of using ELLIS on English studying for these students. The research findings are listed as follows: 1.The demographic characteristics of international students who are over ages 21 years old and holding a Bachelor or Master degrees have higher capability of Behavior Intention. 2.There are positive correlations among Computer Self-Efficacy, Perceive Usefulness, and Perceived Ease of Use. 3.There is a positive correlation between Perceive Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use. 4.There is a significant predictive capability of Perceive Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use on Behavior Intention. In short, the international students who are studying in the USA would be more willing to use ELLIS if they are able to use ELLIS more easily and improve their ability to learn English. At the end, the research findings could be the reference for Interactive Multimedia English Learning System and English teaching. Moreover, the research findings will also be supposed to apply to the follow-up research.
