在職進修與社會網絡關係之研究 --以元智大學管研所及資社所在職專班為例

A Study on the Relationships among On-the-Job Training and Social Network–An Example in Partial Fulfillment of Requirements of Management and Social Informatics in Yuan Ze University

摘要


知識經濟時代唯有不斷的學習才能維持個人的競爭能力,在職進修是越來越多人會選擇的普遍做法之一,以再進修來對自我的人力資本進行再投資。而在這樣高度競爭的社會中,知識的取得憑藉一己之力是很難達成的,透過個人社會網絡的擴展,不僅可以幫助個人與他人之間的知識流通,更有助於個人知識的累積,並創造個人的競爭力。本文以元智大學管研所及資社所在職專班為例,透過二種截然不同屬性的研究所對照比較,探討在相同的大環境之下,二者對人力資本再投資與社會網絡需求的差異性,同時,探討社會網絡對在職進修的影響。 本研究採量化研究方法,以問卷方式針對92至94學年度管研所及資社所在職專班學生進行調查,並透過卡方檢定、t檢定及相關分析,得到以下結論: 管研所與資社所兩所別對於人力資本再投資與社會網絡的需求呈顯著差異,差異的主要原因:兩所別主要的職業別明顯不同,衍生之人力資本再投資與社會網絡的需求與運用亦明顯不同。兩所別運用社會網絡於在職進修相關活動的情形超乎預期與想像,社會網絡對在職進修的幫助很大。整體而言,管研所運用社會網絡的廣度與深度優於資社所,但在課業方面,則無差別。 研究發現,在職進修不僅可以累積個人人力資本存量,充實個人的生涯轉換能力,以獲取較高報酬。同時,在職進修創造了社會網路,社會網絡本身就是一種社會資本,有利於掌握資源者向上的社會流動。

People count on learning in order to maintain the capability of competition in knowledge-based economy age; on-the-job training becomes a popular way for more and more people on personal human capital reinvestment. In such high competitive society, it is difficult to acquire knowledge by oneself, the expansion of social network not only can help one to communicate with other people, but also help the acquisition and accumulation of personal knowledge and creation of personal competition. This research is an example of on-the-job training students of the Graduate School of Management and the Graduate School of Social Informatics in Yuan Ze University, it is a case-control study of these two totally different graduate schools in the difference of both graduate schools on human capital reinvestment and social network requirement under the same circumstances; meanwhile, and a study of the influence of social network to on-the-job training. This research uses Quantitative Approaches by questionnaires of the investigation of on-the-job training students of the Graduate School of Management and the Graduate School of Social Informatics in Yuan Ze University in school year 2003 to 2005 and reaches the following results through chi-square test, t test and related analysis: The Graduate School of Management and the Graduate School of Social Informatics have big difference in human capital reinvestment and social network requirement. The main reason is the variation occupations of the outcome of human capital reinvestment and social network requirement and manipulation.The manipulation of social network in related activities of on-the-job training of both graduate schools is out of expectation and imagination. The social network plays a big role in on-the-job training .To sum up, the width and depth of manipulation in social network of the Graduate School of Management is better than the Graduate School of Social Informatics, but there are no differences in curriculums. This research finds out on-the-job training not only accumulates personal human capital capacity and refines personal career transition capability to acquire higher payment: meantime, on-the-job training creates social networks, and the social network itself is a kind of social capital, this enhance the social mobility of resource to the people who handle resource.
