過去的半個世紀,資訊技術的發展,特別是電腦及網路技術的進步極大地改變我們的工作與生活方式。近年來雲端運算新理念的興起,透過虛擬化技術提供靈活的計算能力和高效能的大量資料分析整理,讓使用者可以隨意在雲端平台運行各式各樣的系統,這種創新吸引產業界和學術界的廣泛關注。 現今虛擬化技術實現了資源的邏輯抽象,在伺服器、網路、儲存管理方面都有突出的優勢,大大降低管理複雜度,提高運營效率。然而虛擬化技術在伺服器上,也存在著可靠性與管理性的問題,例如:我們所創置的虛擬伺服器,因某些人為、硬體、及環境因素導致無法繼續提供服務,這些服務中斷,將造成使用者時間上的損失。 本論文提出雲端運算之高可靠性虛擬機器架構,以解決上述的虛擬伺服器的服務中斷問題。我們利用OS-level virtualization的OpenVZ創置虛擬伺服器,並使用HyperVM、Heartbeat Linux-Ha與Replicated Storage DRBD來達到高可靠性和可管理性,將虛擬伺服器意外的停機時間與服務中斷的影響降到最低。
Over the past half a century,the development of information technology,especially on the advanced computer and Internet technologies, dramatically changes the style of our work and life。 In recent years, the rise of the new cloud computing through virtualization technology provides the flexible computing power and high-performance on large data analysis so that users can run freely in the cloud platform for a wide range of systems. This innovation attracts much attention from both the industry and academic。 Today, the virtualization technology may achieve a logical abstraction of resources, the server、network、storage management, and brings many outstanding advantages. It greatly reduces management complexity,and improves operational efficiency. However, there are still some high availability and management issues for today's virtualization technology. For example, due to human、hardware、 or environmental factors, the virtual private server may be failed and cannot continue to provide services. This service interruption may result in timing loss for the users。 To solve the above service interruption problem, in this paper, we propose the high availability of virtual machine architecture on the cloud computing. We use OS-level virtualization for creating the virtual private servers, and use HyperVM、Heartbeat Linux-Ha and Replicated Storage DRBD to achieve the high availability and manageability for virtual private servers. Our system will reduce the interrupting time and minimize the effect of the service interruption。
