本研究主要探討博物館如何透過展示建構身體。研究方法是先以八個在國內外不同類型博物館中所舉辦的身體展示案例進行初探,經展示分析歸納這些身體展示的展示方法與展示所建構的身體觀;接著以國立自然科學博物館「我們的身體:生老病死」展示為主要研究對象,經由博物館相關人員及策展人的訪談了解身體展示在科博館中的建構及策展人在展示發展時的身體概念建構,再以圖像分析法歸納展示所呈現出的身體觀點。研究結果有幾點發現:首先,博物館的類型不同,身體展示的目的、風格與方法也不同;其次,博物館的類型會影響身體展示身體觀點的詮釋方式;第三,「我們的身體:生老病死」展示在國立自然科學博物館中的建構與博物館內部的展示營運模式與策展人的主觀詮釋有極大的相關性;第四,「我們的身體:生老病死」展示中的身體圖像運用無法有效溝通展示中的身體概念。本研究建議未來博物館規劃身體展示時,應先針對展示的身體觀點與身體圖像進行研究,並透過身體展示對當今的身體議題提供觀眾反省與思考的新觀點。
The purpose of the thesis is to know the way museums structuring body exhibitions. The method of the study is having some survey of eight body exhibitions of different types of museums and countries. Intend to know the exhibition technology and the body concepts of the body exhibitions through exhibition analysis. Then take the exhibition of the National Nature Science Museum “Our Bodies: Birth, Aging, And Sick, And Death” for main case of the study. By interviewing some people concern in the museum and the producer of the exhibition, get to know the exhibition constructing process in the national nature science museum and the body concepts constructing process in the development of the body exhibition. The conclusions of the study are as that. First, the purpose, style and exhibition technology differs from the type of the museums. Second, the type of the museums influences the way of interpretation of the body concept in the body exhibitions. Third, the construing of the exhibition of the National Nature Science Museum “Our Bodies: Birth, Aging, Sick, And Death” have big relation with the internal operation model of the museum and the objective interpretation of the producer of the exhibition. Last, the using of graphics and objects of the body in the exhibition of the National Nature Science Museum “Our Bodies: Birth, Aging, Sick, And Death” can’t communicate the body concept effectively. The suggestions of the thesis are making body exhibitions in museums in the future should study the body concepts and the graphics and objects of body exhibitions in the beginning and providing new sights of thinking and rethinking of our bodies at modern time through body exhibitions.
