This thesis uses Text Analysis Theory of Katharina Reiss to decide the translation strategies and principles to translate《The Ten-Day MBA—3rd Edition》. According to Reiss’ theory, this book may be classified as an Informative Text which is used to communicate messages, knowledge, viewpoints, etc. Moreover, the thesis discusses how to practice translation skills to minimize the gap between English and Chinese, and to produce translated text that is more natural and acceptable for Chinese readers. The thesis consists of five chapters. Chapter 1 is introduction, including research motive and purpose, research principle, and brief introduction of the source book. Chapter 2 is literature review, giving a brief introduction of Reiss Theory and English for science and technology. Chapter 3 is the translated text. Chapter 4 discusses the translation skills by using examples in the text. And the final chapter is the conclusion.
