Space management has many issues. Such issues are like who should occupy new or vacated space; what types of space should be emphasized in space allocating; how should space priorities be set; when should space request be met; and where should an appropriate area be appointed. All these issues draw a picture of space allocating problems occurring off and on in a higher education campus. They also challenge those who deal with managing spaces physically. Some do take heed to those space allocating challenges. However, the tension accelerates when facing the economic recessions along with lower student populations. In this study, literature reviews are taken to classify space allocation decision-making factors, and the questionnaire regarding the space allocation criteria is carried out inside the campus. And then, the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) is applied to address the priorities of criteria during the decision making process. This study attempts to identify the factors and the differences while approaching a space allocating decision among the staff who deals with the problem in higher education.
