1988年Vandermerwe和Rada提出的製造業服務化(servitization of manufacturing)歷經二十多年來眾多學者的演化與完善,現今成為了政府近幾年積極提倡於產業,進以用於提升台灣境爭力的頭號理念。但在這詭譎多變的經濟體系下政府又於2012年底推動了中堅企業躍升計畫,運用其 Simon, H.於 1996年提出之隱形冠軍(Hidden Champions)的概念,並票選出國內產業中的隱形冠軍使其成為台灣立足於全球之中堅力量;此亦及為本研究探討之研究對象,希冀能為理論暨實務面做一貢獻。 本研究利用文獻推導、迴歸分析來驗證和衡量其研究對象之服務化能力,暨服務化能力之各構面與組織績效間的相關性,並對比Neely(2008)針對10,028家上市公司所做之製造業服務化與組織績效之實證研究,探討是否有其研究矛盾之現象發生。驗證其隱形冠軍是否會因服務化衡量指標之數量增加,進而導致績效下降,並從其中提出建議與討論。
