台灣民俗藝陣發展之研究─以西港刈香為例

摘要


「西港刈香」是南部王船祭典中五大香之一的香科活動,特別是西港「慶安宮」每三年一科的「刈香活動」是全國聞名的;其中傳統的祭典科儀還有庄頭自組的民俗藝陣等,都是西港刈香特色之一,西港刈香中民俗藝陣達到全國最多、也保留最傳統的完整的藝陣形式,與地方文化傳承及生活態度都是息息相關的。本研究以西港刈香為例,探討台灣民俗藝陣,本研究目的有: 一、追溯台南縣西港刈香的歷史背景與發展 二、探討西港刈香祭典儀式相關民俗藝陣項目與內容 三、綜論西港鄉刈香維護與發揚 本研究採歷史研究法、文獻分析法及田野調查法,蒐集「西港刈香」活動的相關資料,加以整理、分析、歸納與詮釋、考證,進而了解民俗藝陣在文化傳承上的意義與重要性,以及面臨的問題;提出以下結論: 一、西港刈香的歷史對人民的生活、生命禮俗及信仰寄託有著密切的關係。 二、保存西港刈香祭典儀式相關民俗藝陣項目與內容,除了官方認同外,更需要慶安宮廟宇的推展、學校教育的傳承及社會大眾的支持;這四方面的有效整合,可以讓眾人更加了解文化資產的重要性及意義性。 三、現今多元文化的衝擊下,要保留這樣的味道,需要的不只是當地人的延續更重要的是社會的支持及官方的持續認同,才能積極的達成我們想要保留傳統文化的理想目標。

“Sigang Gua-Xiang (Asking Blessings from Gods of West Harbor)”is one of the five biggest Chinese Incense activities of the Southern King Boat Ceremony, especially the “Incense Harvesting Activity” of “Chin-An Temple” in Sigan; the traditional ceremony includes Traditional Formation Art Forms organized by the locals. The Formation Art Forms of Sigang Gua-Xian is the most numbered, preserved and well-structured art form, strongly related with the traditions and life forms of the local surroundings. This research uses Sigan Gua-xian as an example to study the Taiwan Traditional Formation Art Form. The goals are: 1. To trace the historic backgrounds and development of Sigan Gua-Xian in Tainan county. 2. To study the components of the ceremonies and Traditional Formation Art form. 3. To conclude the preservation and advertisement of Sigan Gua-Xian. This research uses Historical Research Methods, Documentation Analysis and field works to gather and process the data of “Sigan Gua-Xian” activities, realizing the importance and meaning of the Traditional Formation Art Forms and the problems it face; concluded in the following articles: 1. There are strong bindings between the Sigan Gua-Xian history and the life, funeral traditions and religious beliefs of the locals. 2. The preservation of ceremonies and Formation Art Form contents of Sigan Gua-xian could not success only within the supports of authorities, but also the advertizing of the Temple, the education of schools and the support of the society; the integrating of this four phases could make people realize the importance and meanings of the cultural assets. 3. Under the impact of multi culture, to maintain the same flavor needs more than the preservations of the locals, both of the supports from the society and the authorities are needed to achieve the ideal goal of the preservations of traditional cultures.
