摘要

本論文主旨為翻譯The Everyday Negotiator: 50 Practical Tactics for Work and Life一書，以紐馬克(Peter Newmark)的理論為基礎，將紐馬克所提倡的語義翻譯和溝通翻譯的差異，對此譯文進行分析，藉此找出合適之翻譯策略，並分析翻譯過程中所運用的翻譯技巧。本論文分為五章，第一章為緒論，其包含研究動機、目的、方法。第二章為說明翻譯流程。第三張為譯文。第四章為翻譯實務探討，討論理論與實務的結合，以及翻譯技巧的應用。第五章則為結論。

The purpose of this thesis is to translate a book titled: The Everyday Negotiator: 50 Practical Tactics for Work and Life and use Peter Newmark’s theory of the semantic translation and communication translation as a foundation to analysis the source book, and hence select the appropriate translation strategy. This thesis consists of five chapters; Chapter 1 is introduction, including research purpose, motive and method. Chapter 2 is translation process and Chapter 3 is translated text. Chapter 4 is the discussion on the translation, the combination of theory and practice, and the application of translation skills. And the final chapter is the conclusion.
