聚苯胺/黏土奈米複合材料之合成與性質研究

摘要 我們以親油化改質過的蒙脫土與苯胺單體進行典型的氧化聚合反應,製備了一系列不同比例的聚苯胺/黏土奈米複合材料,所得產物並以FTIR、XRD與TEM來進行鑑定。利用GPC、黏度儀與UV-Vis來量測或評估其奈米材中之有機高分子的分子量大小,並進一步將此材料製成自由立膜並以GPA及DMA儀器測量其氣體穿透性與機械強度。並以偏光顯微鏡觀察材料表面結晶形態,再使用TGA與DSC來評估其熱性質,最後以電化學方法量測此材料的防腐蝕性質,與其聚合時的氧化電位變化。

Abstract A series of nanocomposites materials that consisted of emeraldine base of polyaniline and layered montmorillonite (MMT) clay were prepared by effectively dispersing the inorganic nanolayers of MMT clay in organic polyaniline matrix via in-situ polymerization. Organic aniline monomer were first intercalated into the interlayer regions of organophilic clay hosts and followed by an one-step oxidative polymerization. The as-synthesized polyanilline-clay lameller nanocmposites materials were characterized by infrared spectroscopy, wide-angle powder X-ray diffraction, polarizing microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. Polyaniline/clay nanocomposites in the form of coating with low clay loading (e.g., 0.75 wt %) on cold-rolled steel (CRS) were found much superior in corrosion protection over those of conventional polyaniline based on a series of electrochemical measurements of corrosion potential, polarization resistance, and corrosion current in 5 wt % aqueous NaCl electrolyte. The molecular weight of polyaniline extracted form polyaniline/clay nanocomposite materials and bulk polyaniline were determined by gel permeation chromatography (GPC), ultraviolet spectroscopy, and viscometry. Effect of the material composites on the gas barrier properity, thermal stability, and mechanical strength of polyaniline along with polyaniline/clay nanocomposites materials, in the form of both fine powder and free-standing film, were also studied by gas permeability measurements, differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, and dynamic mechanical analysis. Open-circuit-potential technique was employed to monitor the oxidation polymerization process of polyaniline in the presence of clay.
