台灣TFT-LCD面板廠在投資十年多以來，目前已成為國際TFT-LCD顯示器面板的供應重鎮。在筆記型電腦、液晶監視器與液晶電視三大去化產能主力的產品之後，其他消費型電子產品，在應用日廣之際，業者不斷加碼投資，擴建新廠，台灣面板產業儼然已經繼半導體產業之後，另一個重要的代表產業。
在面對國際大廠競爭之下，台灣 TFT-LCD面板廠也必需走向國際，進行國際化布局，以接近市場與滿足客戶的需求的經型態來布局。然而每家TFT-LCD面板廠的國際產業分工、策略布局與企業核心資源，均有所不同，在國際產業分工、兩岸投資策略布局與企業核心資源，對於廠商在赴中國大陸投資的區位選擇，則是扮演相當重要的關鍵。
有鑒於此，本研究期望能針對台灣TFT-LCD面板廠在進行兩岸策略布局的區位選擇，進行深入瞭解，從國際產業分工的角度與兩岸策略布局以及進業核心資源，對於TFT-LCD面板廠的後段模組廠區位選擇，其間之關聯性?何？在整個資訊產業供應鏈以及競爭對手韓國面板廠與當地TFT-LCD面板廠的投資布局，有何影響。希望能藉此研究提供台灣 TFT-LCD面板廠策略運用建議與參考。
本研究採用個案研究法，以台灣TFT-LCD面板廠為研究對象，針對國內上市上櫃，而且在中國有投資後段模組的TFT-LCD面板廠做為研究對象，在深度訪談後經由次級資料分析與個案匯整後，發展出相關命題。本研究結果發現：
1. TFT-LCD產業國際產業分工不同，對於台商進行布局區位選擇，有顯著差異。
2.TFT-LCD產業以水平分工區位選擇是以集團綜效型為主；垂直分工多是以網路關係型為主，國際母廠的合作模式，會對於區位選擇會造成影響。
3.兩岸分工布局策略不同，對於投資設廠區位選擇，會有顯著的差異。
4.TFT-LCD產業在兩岸策略布局以市場尋求型、接近客戶型為策略布局者，其區位選擇以網路關係係型為主；效率追求與資源基型的廠商與策略專注型，則是以集團綜效型為主。

ABSTRACT
Taiwan has become the international supply center of the TFT-LCD panel since its investment in the field for the past decade. Besides the main application in the products such as notebooks, LCD monitors, and LCD TVs, other consuming electronic goods also take it in wide-range application. Suppliers keep on investing, building new factories. After semiconductor industry, TFT-LCD panel has become another representative of Taiwan industry.
Facing a competition with international companies, the factories of Taiwan TFT-LCD panel must be internationalized and configured in order to approach market and satisfy customers’ needed. However, the international division of labor, cross-strait strategy of configuration, and enterprise core resources are all different from every TFT-LCD factories. Within which, the choice for whom go to China to invest is a very critical point.
Therefore, this study hoped to have a deeply realization in cross-strait strategy of configuration for Taiwan TFT-LCD factories and to analyze the relationship between the effects of international division of labor, cross-strait strategy of configuration, enterprise core resources on area distribution of investment. The case study was used to research Taiwan TFT-LCD industry which stocks issued in OTC and invested LCM in Mainland China.It was found that:
1. An explicitly different is Taiwan businessmen’s how to make their decision of configuration is based on their different modes of international division of labor.
2. Horizontal-division of labor is the mainly for group’s efficiency. Integrated division of labor is most related to internet. A cooperation mode with international parent factory will affect the choice of configuration.
3. An obviously difference from decision of investing and building a factory will be caused by different cross-strait strategy of configuration.
4. If the strategies of TFT-LCD industry are types of market-hunting and customer-approached, relationship of internet will be the major. If they are types of efficiency-pursuing and strategy focused of resource-based business, group efficiency will be the major.
