論文摘要 本篇論文主要探討合資夥伴選擇對兩岸合資績效之影響,合資夥伴選擇包括資源互補性、信任程度、目標一致性、文化相容性、規模差異程度與過去合作經驗,並以環境不確定性為干擾變項,探討此干擾變項對合資夥伴選擇與兩岸合資績效關係之影響。本論文所採取的研究方法有二種,個案研究法及計量研究法。本論文的個案研究是採用面對面深度訪談及次級資料收集的方式進行,訪談對象是負責與大陸進行合資事務及參與合資子公司管理經驗的A汽車公司及P化學公司高階主管。 本論文計量研究法之研究對象是至民國九十三年第三季止,證交所公開資訊觀測站所公布之採合資赴大陸投資之台商,並在國內上市之企業。共寄發354份問卷,回收39份,扣除填寫不完整及無效問卷共8份,共計有效回收問卷31份,有效回收率9%。回收問卷經敘述統計、相關分析、獨立樣本t 檢定與二因子ANOVA分析等統計方法整理後,再與個案研究之結果作比較,獲得以下研究結論: 一、資源互補性、信任程度、目標一致性、文化相容性與兩岸合資績效之關係皆達正向顯著水準,而規模差異程度、過去合作經驗與兩岸合資績效間之關係未達正向顯著水準,從個案研究的結果發現,除了文化相容性與兩岸合資績效之關係不符合H4,其餘皆與計量研究的結果一致。 二、本研究經二因子變異數分析發現,信任程度與兩岸合資績效間之關係,會受到競爭不確定性及技術不確定性的影響;目標一致性與兩岸合資績效間之關係,會受到技術不確定性的影響;而文化相容性與兩岸合資績效間之關係,亦會受到技術不確定性的影響;過去合作經驗與兩岸合資績效間之關係,則會受到供應不確定性、政策不確定性的影響。 三、本研究建議企業與合資夥伴的合資過程中,要注意加強雙方彼此的資源互補性、信任程度、目標一致性、文化相容性,發揮合資之優點、結合雙方之能力,以追求更高的績效。此外,企業應將中國大陸市場的環境不確定性列入考慮,並避免環境不確定性對合資夥伴選擇與兩岸合資績效關係造成之影響。
ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the partner selection and the performance of Taiwan and China joint venture. Partner selections criteria include the resource complementarity, trust, compatible goals, compatible culture, relative age and prior cooperative experience. This study investigate the influences of relationship between the partner selection and the performance of Taiwan and China joint venture intermediated by environment uncertainty. There are two methods used in the research, case study and sample survey. The method used in case study is interview and secondary data gathering. We interview the managers who are responsible for the Taiwan and China joint venture. A total of 354 questionnaires were mailed and 31 effective returns were received. The methods used in the research include descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and ANOVA analysis. Finally, compared with case study, the empirical results summarized as follows: 1. The partner selections, including complementarity, trust, compatible goals and compatible culture, have significant influences to the performances of joint venture. But the relative age and prior cooperative experience have no significant influences to the performances of joint venture. Over case study shows that compatible culture has no significant influence to the performances of joint venture. Others are the same results with sample survey. 2. Referring to the intermediatary variables, environment uncertainty, we found that the relationship between trust and performance will be affected by the competition uncertainty and technology uncertainty. The relationship between compatible goals and performance will be affected by the technology uncertainty. Whereas the relationship between compatible culture and performance will be affected by the technology uncertainty. The relationship between prior cooperative experience and performance will be affected by the supply uncertainty and policy uncertainty. 3. The study suggests that company adopting joint venture should enhance the resource complementarity, trust, compatible goals and compatible culture. Strengthen the joint venture superiority, combine the two parties abilities to get higher performance. Besides, the company should think over environment uncertainty of China market, and avoid environment uncertainty has influences to the partner selections and performances of Taiwan and China joint venture.
