瓷器、傳統建築與室內空間中抽象紋飾之差異

摘要


紋飾一直以來是中國文化最美麗、最富想像力的部分,它是中國的祖先長久以來勞務生產過程中所激盪出一種對人性美好的祈願。紋飾的影響範圍很廣,不只是在常民的生活中扮演祈福、安定人心的角色,在皇室、宗教各個社會階層都深受紋飾的影響。而瓷器與傳統建築都是人類生活中所密切使用的容器(漢寶德,2006:197)。本研究所要探討的是:1. 紋飾使用在體積較小的瓷器上與體積較大的傳統建築、室內空間中,其紋飾使用的排序差異;2. 紋飾在瓷器與建築、室內空間中使用部位上的差異;3. 紋飾在瓷器上與建築空間中原型、變型的使用差異與其特質。因本研究為系列抽象紋飾研究中之一階段,故在本階段先完成瓷器與空間中抽象紋飾之差異比較。有關此差異結果之深度質性詮釋與解析,將在後續研究中進行。主要研究結果為明、清時期1.瓷器與空間中 最常應用之抽象紋飾為如意雲紋、冰裂紋、蓮瓣紋、卷草紋、回紋、蕉葉紋、夔龍紋、卍字紋、獸面紋與錢紋等10種;2.個別紋飾雖在不同領域(如瓷器與空間)具有互相流通之共通性,但却也會因紋飾個別之特質不同,而有應用部位之差異;3.瓷器與空間中10種抽象紋飾之排序差異;4. 瓷器與空間中10種抽象紋飾之紋飾原型與變型之差異;5.瓷器與空間中紋飾之造形特質。

Abstract patterns, a prayer for righteousness born out of the labor of ancient ancestors, has always been the most beautiful and imaginative part of the Chinese culture. Abstract patterns have had a far-reaching influence. These patterns serve as a symbol of blessing and tranquilizing the minds of common people. The royal house, religions, and every level of society are always deeply connected with abstract patterns. Traditional Chinese architecture and porcelain are vessels which are closely related to human life (Han, 2006:197). The aim of this study was to explore the following: 1) the ranking of various patterns seen on traditional porcelain, architectural fixtures, and interior spaces; 2) the differences of application parts of these patterns on porcelain, buildings, and in interior spaces; 3) the differences in characteristic and usage between archetypal and variant forms of abstracts patterns on porcelain and in architectural space. This paper was only the first stage in a series of studies on abstract pattern; therefore, it is limited to comparing the differences between porcelain and abstract patterns in spaces. These results of differences will be analyzed and qualitatively interpreted in later studies. This study showed that during the Ming and Qing dynasties: 1) the ten most frequently used abstract patterns on porcelain and in spaces were the Cloud-and-Ju-I, ice-crack, lotus petal, curly grass, mandala, banana leaf, dragon, swastika, animal-mask, and coin patterns. 2) Although individual patterns may share similarities when applied in different fields (such as porcelain or architecture), their positions may vary, according to differences in the characteristics of abstract patterns. 3) Differences in ranking exist between the ten patterns as they appear in porcelain or within architectural design. 4) Differences exist between archetypical and variant forms of the ten abstract patterns and porcelain. 5) Shape characteristics of the abstract patterns and porcelain.
