科學讀物融入KWLQF策略於國小生活課程之行動研究

An Action Research of Incorporating Science Reading Books with KWLQF Strategy in the Elementary Life Curriculum

摘要


摘要 本研究的目的是探討科學讀物融入KWLQF策略於國小生活課程的實施成效。故利用KWLQF策略協助學生探索三個主題,其主題分別為「磁鐵真好玩」、「米的秘密」、「鳥類的秘密」,來了解學生探索科學讀物後的學習成果與學習態度是否有轉變,以及教師面臨的困境,並記錄行動歷程以供後續研究參考。 本研究採行動研究法,針對研究者任教班級的三十五名二年級學生進行研究,資料來源包括KWLQF學習單、教師札記、觀察紀錄、晤談等;研究以質性探討為主,資料分析採Patton(1990)建議的步驟,將彙整原始資料加以組織、分類與編輯成為資料檔,其後依研究問題與發現的類型進行歸納為重要目錄,再進行深入分析(Strauss & Corbin ,1990)。研究結果發現: 一、 學生的疑惑能從科學讀物中得到解答,KWLQF策略協助學生進一步探索學習主題,學生將學習成果應用於日常生活與其他課程。 二、 學生查詢的態度從無力沮喪轉為主動查詢,對科學讀物的內容從讀不懂到逐漸讀得懂,學生對KWLQF策略從好奇到逐漸熟悉。 三、 教師示範如何篩選科學讀物,以協助學生從多元的科學讀物中做選擇;拓展查詢的關鍵字,以解決查詢的困境;學生相互分享科學讀物,以解決孤立無援的困境;教師示範為鷹架,使學生學會使用KWLQF策略。 建議後續研究者宜掌握學習契機整合科學讀物,以協助學生統整知識,再透過新增的Q、F欄讓學習策略更完整,最後可利用討論活動讓學生發表所學以達知識交流分享之效。本研究的歷程可供後續實施「科學讀物融入KWLQF策略」的教學者參考,以進行其他相關概念之研究。

The purpose of this study is to search the result of using KWLQF strategy in science reading books in the elementary life curriculum. Therefore, the researcher used KWLQF strategy to help students learn three topics –“Magnets are fun”, “The Secret of Rice” and “The secret of Birds”. According to the process, the researcher gets to know the changes (students’ learning process, achievements and teachers’ difficulties) after the students use KWLQF strategy to read the science reading books. The method of this study is based on action research. The researcher chose thirty-five elementary school students at second grade as the subjects. The data resources come from KWLQF worksheets, teachers’ daily notes, observations, interviews and the feedbacks from students, etc.. Based on Qualitative Research, the procedure of data analysis adopted Patton(1990), Strauss and Corbin’s(1990) suggestion to collect raw data. The goal is to induce index dictionary from the process of organization, categorization, and compilation according to the research question and detection. The results of this research are: 1. Students can find out the answers of learning topics from science reading books, and using KWLQF strategy in reading science books can help students to learn the subjects further. And students can apply the learning results in their lives or other curriculums in the end. 2. The students’ searching attitudes change from helpless to active; students’ reading on the science reading books change from don’t-know to understanding; students’ reading with KWLQF strategy change form curious to familiar. 3. The teacher shows and tells the students how to choose multiple kinds of science reading books and increase key words to solve the difficulties in searching information. Besides, students share science reading books with each other to solve the feeling of helplessness. The teacher shows and tells the students how to use KWLQF strategy. Suggest the following researchers using science reading books to help the students integrate knowledge and make the learning strategy more complete by adding Q and F columns. Further, let the students switch their knowledge by discussions. The research progress can be a reference for the follower who wants to study reading science reading books with KWLQF strategy.
