資訊圖像應用於蘋果日報編排設計之研究

摘要

我們接收的資訊非常多，但相對的卻有很多是不需要的，所以如何達到資訊的精確性、系統性、易讀性、效率性，並滿足使用者的需求已變得非常重要。人們主要接收資訊的感官來自視覺，而我們身處影像時代，已習慣接收視覺化資訊，故在這個時代裡產生「資訊圖像」（Information graphics或infographics）：以簡單而合理的設計思維，以容易理解且多元的視覺手法呈現複雜的資訊。台灣報業因《蘋果日報》的衝擊，於是各家報紙開始運用資訊圖像，故本研究聚焦於使台灣報業改變使用資訊圖像習慣的引領者《蘋果日報》。本研究目的：一、從資訊設計與視覺傳達設計的基礎研究，建構資訊圖像之發展脈絡。二、建立資訊圖像的形式與種類之架構，並探討其表現形式。三、探討新聞特性與版面調性如何影響資訊圖像的應用。四、以版面編排設計學理為基礎，探究資訊圖像如何應用於編排設計之視覺構成與應用。
本研究採文獻探討法與視覺檢測，因《蘋果日報》於2003年5月2日在台出刊，研究範圍從2003年5月2日至2006年5月2日，採「建構式星期抽樣」，以「疊」為樣本分析單位，每疊報紙的第一、三版為分析樣本版面，共計36天（份）報紙，360版版面。
資訊圖像發展脈絡從資訊設計與視覺傳達設計的基礎發展延伸而成，一個好的資訊圖像在其資訊內容或視覺設計呈現上，應以簡單、明確、易懂為前提，將複雜的資訊予以消化、簡化，並選擇適當形式呈現之，再加上合適的設計，符合設計原則。資訊圖像的形式種類包括統計類與非統計類。統計類資訊圖像：條形圖、圓形圖、線形圓、統計地圖。非統計類資訊圖像：一、表格目錄：對應表、時刻表、分類表、年表與時間表；二、系統圖：組織圖、流程與過程圖、系統圖、選擇圖；三、圖解：單純說明圖、構造斷面圖、機能說明圖；四、地圖：交通路線圖、觀光地圖、分布地圖、樓層圖。各疊報紙對同種資訊圖像的設計與應用不盡相同，有些特別或固定的表現形式只出現在特定的疊中，因此各疊報紙對資訊圖像的設計及應用依然在其新聞內容屬性的框架下進行，新聞內容的特質成就了資訊以何種形式存在。
資訊圖像圖版率值的高低由新聞內容屬性與版面調性決定，由於各疊偏重的圖版種類不同，因而造成該值的高低。資訊圖像跳躍率依該版面調性有所變化，當版面調性越活潑、多元，其值越大；反之，則低。資訊圖像拘束率值破除一般對於硬（軟）性新聞版面編排的認知，資訊圖像拘束率與資訊圖像的呈現造形有關，若該造形為矩形時，其值為高；若呈現造形為曲線、非格線所框架出的造形時，其值為低。

The best field of Infographics is the newspaper. In information processing, the information which readers need have been chosen and compressed by the journalist and editor. In visual communication, the variety of infographics can be present in the newspaper. Although it presents in graphics, the meaning and intension of news are clearer and stronger. Because journalism of Taiwan is impacted by foreign media and infographics becomes a trend among media in Taiwan, “how journalism applies the infographics” is the subject, well worth treating deeply now. This study is focus on a leader- ”Apple Daily” which makes the journalism of Taiwan to change the habit of using infographics. The purposes of this study have four items. On the basis of information design and visual communication design theories, to found expanding process of infographics. To set up a frame of kinds of infographics and to explore how the news affect application of infographics and to investigate how infographics apply visual composing of layout.
This study adopt literature survey and visual composing survey (ratio of infographics layout, ratio of infographcs jump rate, ratio of constraint rate in details), research range from 2003/5/2 to 2006/5/2, and using “constructed week sampling”, selecting the front page and third page be samples. The results are good infographics in information content or visual design should be set the premise that it be designed and presented simply, clearly, obviously, which need to comprehend and simplify complicated information and choose the proper kind or form to present it, and get in the suitable design that conform the design principle.
