軟弱黏土壓縮性之實驗研究

A Laboratory Study on the Compressibility of Soft Clay

摘要


中 文 摘 要 當土壤承受荷重,如興建結構物或填土時,會產生壓縮變形,此壓縮是來自於土壤顆粒之變形,顆粒重新排列,和孔隙中之水或空氣被擠出。而土壤壓縮量的主要來源是孔隙中的水或空氣排出和顆粒重新排列。當土壤受壓後會激發超額孔隙水壓,而超額孔隙水壓消散的過程稱為主要壓密。當超額孔隙水壓消散完畢後,所有外力增量會轉嫁在土壤顆粒上。此後有效應力保持不變下,隨著時間的過去,土壤顆粒會重新排列,造成沉陷,稱為二次壓縮。在討論土壤的壓縮性質時,常會利用到二次壓縮指數 與壓縮指數 ,對於同一土壤來說,二次壓縮指數 與壓縮指數 之比值為一常數之關係。 本研究使用二聯式單向度壓密儀和傳統壓密儀進行試驗,試樣分別為飽和試樣、冷凍乾燥試樣和粉末試樣,以探討土壤之壓縮性。試驗結果顯示,冷凍乾燥試樣之壓縮指數和二次壓縮指數,會隨著壓密應力之增加而增大,而粉末試樣之壓縮指數和二次壓縮指數初期會較大,隨著壓密應力之增加其值會下降或趨於平緩。 之比值在飽和試樣、冷凍乾燥試樣與粉末試樣中之差異不大,其值在0.01~0.04之範圍內。另外試驗結果顯示主要壓密時間之長短,對於主要壓密完成時之壓縮量影響不大。

ABSTRACT When soil receives loading from the structure or the earth fill, it compresses and settles. The compression is mainly due to an expulsion of water or air from the voids in the soil. When saturated soil receives loading, excess pore water pressure is generated. The stage of dissipation of excess pore water pressure is called primary consolidation. When excess pore water pressure is completely dissipated, all of the loading is transferred to the soil structure as effective stress. Secondary compression is the compression of soil with time under a constant effective stress. Secondary compression index and compression index have been used, and it has been found that the ratio is a constant for any saturated soils. This study used separated type oedometers and conventional edometers to measure the compression characteristics of saturated, freeze dried and powdered specimens. It is found from the test results that values of for the soils tested show only slight difference. The values of for the soils tested fall between 0.01 and 0.04. The test results further show that the end of primary compression is not affected by the duration of primary compression.
