資訊圖像應用於推廣鐵人競賽之研究創作

A Study on Infographics for the Promotion of Triathlon

摘要

鐵人競賽由1974年在加州Mission Bay所舉辦的第一場賽事開始至今，已在世界各地蓬勃發展，於2000年更進入了奧運的殿堂，臺灣地區也從2005年的3場到2014年的53場，成長快速。近年來戶外運動盛行，鐵人競賽被譽為戶外運動競賽的最高殿堂，難度及運動傷害發生的機率更高於一般，因此本研究透過文獻分析探討資訊圖像發展沿革、種類、表現形式與設計要素，以及鐵人競賽相關發展、競賽規格、運動傷害、各階段注意事項與2014臺灣賽事地圖等，將鐵人競賽以資訊圖像方式創作呈現。
本創作之目標對象以運動愛好者與鐵人初賽者為主，透過資訊圖像的化繁為簡與提高理解力等功能，推廣健康運動與安全保健等知識，創作一系列資訊圖像作品於松菸文創園區公開展出，並於展出後訪談鐵人初賽者，獲得良好的反應與回饋：減少歷史發展的文字說明；增加運動傷害之發生比例；注意事項的視覺動線；賽事地圖的難易度、地形氣候條件等，更建議結合相關廠商或主辦單位，能協助初賽者熟悉賽事、自我檢視。
最後彙整文獻、案例、目標對象的回饋及創作心得，獲得以下各項結論：訊息量大時資訊圖像應以複合型態呈現，但仍需遵守明確與精簡之設計要素；主題內容不同影響呈現方式，如統計資料宜以圖像方式呈現、敘事資料則需文字輔助；與商業結合除讓參賽者獲得資訊外，更可收品牌行銷效果；觀者背景影響訊息的共鳴與吸收等。

Since the first Ironman Triathlon held in Mission Bay in California in 1974, it has been springing up like mushrooms around the world, and even entered the Olympic Hall in 2000. In Taiwan, the number of such competition has risen rapidly from 3 to 53. Outdoors activities have been gaining popularity in recent years, and the Ironman Triathlon is crowned as a member in the Hall of Fame of sports. Its difficulty and the odds of injury are generally higher than the average. Hence, in this thesis we attempt to analyze the history, types, the pattern of manifestation and the elements of design of infographic, combining the linked development, the competing policy, sports injuries, announcements in every stage and the competition map of Taiwan in 2014, so as to do the creative presentation of the Ironman Triathlon with infographic.
The objects of study in this thesis are the fanatics of sports and the first-time participants using the simplifying feature of inforgraphic to elevate the understanding, so as to promote the knowledge of healthy exercise and safety, which is exhibited in Songshan Cultural and Creative Park. After the exhibition, we will interview the first-time participants to obtain great feedbacks. It is proposed to curtail the textual description of the history, increase the proportion of the occurrence of sports injury, virtual movements of the announcements, difficulty of the competition map, and conditions of climate and topography. Furthermore, we suggest related companies and organizers be combined together to assist the participants in knowing well the competition and realize self-inspection.
Finally, we will gather the documents, cases and feedbacks from the objects of study to receive the following conclusions of the development of infographic: the versatile forms of infographic should be presented in multiple patterns, but it is still required to comply with the rules of explicitness and conciseness. The subject index will influence the mode of appearance. For example, the statistics should be presented as graphics, while narrative information requires textual aids. When combined with business activity, it not only can send the participants gaining extra information, but also has the effect of brand marketing, and the background of the viewers will have an impact on the absorption of the information.
