國中資源班資深及新手教師運用社區資源教學之比較研究

A Comparative Study on the Application of Community Resources with Teaching between Expert and Novice Teachers in Resource Room at Junior High Schools

摘要


本研究旨在探討桃園縣、新竹縣、新竹市以及苗栗縣國民中學資源班資深及新手教師運用社區資源教學之現況與能力差異。本研究採用問卷調查法進行研究,以自編之「國中資源班教師運用社區資源教學之調查問卷」做為研究調查工具,針對九十七學年度桃竹苗縣市地區國民中學資源班教師,採用母群體問卷調查法進行資料蒐集,總計發出正式問卷234份,回收問卷224份,有效問卷計有215份。有效問卷經整理後,以次數分配、百分比統計分析、卡方考驗、變異數分析等統計方法進行分析。研究結果如下: 一、國中資源班教師在教學上有運用社區資源的需求,且不因其年齡、年資、職務、學校規模以及學校所在地不同而有所差異。 二、國中資源班教師在教學上運用社區資源的頻率並不高,其中又以資深資源班教師運用頻率高於新手資源班教師;一般地區學校資源班教師運用頻率高於偏遠地區學校之資源班教師。 三、國中資源班教師在教學上最常運用社區資源的課程類型為「功能性生活技能本位課程」。 四、國中資源班教師在教學上運用社區資源的類別,以「社區交通設施」使用比例最高。 五、國中資源班資深教師在教學各層面運用社區資源之能力均優於資源班新手教師。 六、不同職務的資源班資深及新手教師在教學前階段運用社區資源教學能力有顯著差異;其中以擔任導師之資深教師運用社區資源教學能力顯著高於擔任導師之新手教師;兼任行政人員之資深教師運用社區資源教學能力顯著高於兼任行政人員之新手教師。 七、國中資源班資深及新手教師運用社區資源教學所遭遇的問題不因其年齡、年資、職務、學校規模以及學校所在地不同而有所差異;最主要的問題皆為「學生安全上的顧慮」、「在學校缺乏經費支付教學活動所需的花費」、「缺乏相關人力支援協助」等。 八、學校規模在12班以下的小型學校以及位於偏遠地區學校的資源班教師遭遇「學校對外交通不便」之問題顯著高於其他環境之資源班教師。 九、新手資源班教師遭遇「學校課程缺乏彈性」問題顯著高於資深資源班教師。 本研究依據上述研究結果進行討論,並提出相關建議以供教育行政機關、學校單位以及後續研究之參考。

The purpose of this study is to investigate the situations and differences of the using of community resources between expert and novice teachers in resource room at middle schools around the middle part of Taiwan Island. For the purpose of the study, a questionnaire, called “Middle School Teachers’ Attitude toward the Use of Community Resources”, developed by the main researcher was implemented. The main subjects of the study are in-service resource room teachers at Taoyuan county, Hsinchu county and city and Miaoli county. The distributions and collections of data are based on the censuses among resource room teachers. 234 questionnaires were distributed, while 224 were returned. Among these collected questionnaires, 215 are valid and further analyzed by percentage statistic, chi-square test, one-way-MANOVA and two-way-ANOVA. The main results are as follows. 1. Middle school resource room teachers do need resources from community when teaching and no matter what their age, seniority, job function, school size and school location are. 2. The frequency of using community resources among middle school resource room teachers is not high. However, expert teachers tend to use these resources more than novice teachers. Resource room teachers of general areas utilize community resources more often than teachers of outlying ones. 3. The community resources used most is “Courses of Functional Life Skills”. 4. The most widely-used community resources by middle school resource room teachers is “Community Transportation Facilities”. 5. Expert resource room teachers’ ability of utilizing community resources during teaching is better than novice resource room teachers. 6. There existing obvious differences among expert and novice teachers of different job function in terms of their using of community resources before their actual teaching. Expert mentor teachers tend to make use of the resources more often than novice mentor ones. Part-time administering expert teachers prefer the use of community resources more than part-time novice ones. 7. Both expert and novice resource room teachers encounter similar problems when utilizing community resources. Those problems are: issues related to students’ safety, the lack of funding for paying the cost of teaching activities from school and the lacking of relevant human supports and assistances. 8. Expert and novice resource room teachers of schools of different scales and areas show a different attitude toward item of “Inconvenience in transportation ”. Among them, resource room teachers who are teaching at schools offering classes no more than 12 show a more serious concern on the issue than resource room teachers of other teaching circumstances. 9. Resource room teachers of different seniority encounter difficulties on “the Lack of Flexibility of School Curriculum”. Novice teachers tend to show a higher level of concern than expert ones.
