社會資本在近年成為一熱門的分析概念,許多相關研究也相繼地如雨後春筍般的出現,而隨著社會資本的研究愈來愈豐富,研究主題亦趨多元化。然而,多數的社會資本研究多關注於企業組織績效議題;相較之下,非營利組織的研究則顯得較為少,而且多數研究是以信任、規範與網絡為主要的研究面向。因此,本研究試圖以個人與組織層次的觀點,來探討非營利組織社會資本的創造與累積。本文選取服務議題較為特殊的非營利組織(勵馨基金會)為研究對象,除了瞭解其社會資本創造與累積的方式之外,也希望藉此討論社會資本的累積方式,是否會因NPO議題的特殊性而有所差異。 本研究採用質性個案研究方法,透過深度訪談、國內外相關文獻及次級資料的蒐集,進行理論與實證的研究,希望藉由不同層次分析更加明確瞭解非營利組織社會本的創造與累積。 本研究發現非營利組織社會資本主要源自於個體層次因素,不但個體與總體層次的社會資本相互影響,且正面的個體因素對於非營利組織社會資本更具有加乘的作用。在總體層次方面,本研究發現建全的組織架構對於社會資本是具有加分作用,而組織存在共同信仰更可有效累積社會資本,而組織專業能力則能增加非營利組織社會資本。最後,本研究依據研究發現針對非營利組織、政府機關,以及未來研究等方面提出相關建議。
Recently, the concept of social capital has become very popular, and many related issues have been extensively discussed in social science study. However, most of the social capital studies are focusing on the performance of private enterprises, relatively little attention has been paid to studying social capital of the non-profit organizations (NPO). On the other hand, trust, regulation, and networking are the three most important aspects for studying social capital, the influence of external environmental and internal personnel factors on social capital have been mostly neglected. Therefore, this research proposes to analyze the creation and accumulation of social capital for NPO from the above mentioned aspects. The NPO selected for this study is the Garden of Hope Foundation, which is famous for its devotions to the gender related issues. In addition to study the creation and accumulation of social capital for the NPO, this research also attempts to address the issue of whether the sensitive issues dealed by the organization has created any difficulty for the NPO. This study utilizes the qualitative research approach, data are collected by means of in-depth personal interview, related local and international literature, and secondary data sources. Research results indicate that the creation and sccumulation of social capital for NPO are primarily generated from the personal aspects. Although personal factors inteact with the organization ones, sound organization structure, mutual belief system, and professional capability all have positive effects on the creation and accumulation of social capital for NPO. On the basis of research findings, policy recommendations are made specifically for NPO, government and future research respectively.
