高齡者電腦經驗與其生活滿意度及電腦態度關係之研究

A study of the relationship of older adults’computer experience between life satisfaction and computer attitude

摘要


本研究的目的旨在探討高齡者的電腦經驗與其生活滿意度和電腦態度之關係。本研究之研究目的有四:(一)瞭解高齡者電腦經驗、電腦態度與生活滿意度的現況。(二)探討高齡者電腦經驗與其電腦態度之關係。(三)探討高齡者電腦經驗與其生活滿意度之關係。(四)分析不同社會人口變項的高齡者在電腦經驗、電腦態度與生活滿意度上的差異情形。本研究之研究工具為參考國內外相關文獻所編制之結構式問卷,問卷內容包含基本背景資料、生活滿意度量表、電腦態度量表以及電腦經驗量表。研究對象為台中市曉明長青大學以及蒙恩長青學苑之高齡者,取樣共251人,有效回收率為96%。所得問卷資料以SPSS13.0軟體,進行百分比、平均值、標準差、卡方檢定、t檢定、單因子變異數分析及薛費氏事後比較法等統計分析。 資料分析結果歸納之結論如以下八點: 一、高齡者的生活滿意度甚高,尤其在自我概念構面; 二、會影響高齡者生活滿意度的社會因素為經濟狀況與健康狀況; 三、高齡者電腦態度良好,尤其在電腦有用性構面; 四、會影響高齡者電腦態度的社會因素包括年齡、教育程度、經濟狀況跟健康狀況; 五、電腦經驗與電腦態度有關,正面的電腦經驗導致正面的電腦態度; 六、高齡者電腦學習動機主要為嚐新鮮跟避免落伍,使用電腦目的主要為搜尋資訊以及收發e-mail;使用電腦的主要困難為電腦知識不足以及遇到問題沒人可以請教。高齡者的電腦使用年資介於1~3年之間,每週頻率為1~3天,每次一小時左右; 七、會影響高齡者電腦經驗之個人背景變項包括性別、年齡、教育程度、經濟狀況、婚姻狀況跟居住狀況; 八、曾參與電腦課程的高齡者生活滿意度較高,電腦使用年資也與生活滿意度有關。 本研究根據上述結論,提出具體建議,作為教學、研究、推廣高齡者電腦教育及政策規畫等之依據。 一、對政府相關單位之建議:(一)鼓勵高齡者參與電腦學習;(二)補助輔導高齡者教育機構開設電腦學習課程;(三)推動健全之高齡者福利政策。 二、對高齡者教育機構之建議:(一)普設高齡者電腦學習班;(二)建立高齡者電腦學習輔導機制;(三)針對不同對象的高齡者,提供適當的電腦課程行銷策略。 三、對高齡者本身之建議:(一)歡欣喜樂態度過生活;(二)體認電腦學習的重要;(三)建立信心,主動參與學習。 四、對後續研究之建議:(一)未來可探討數位學習與高齡者生活滿意度之關係;(二)樣本力求多樣性、避免負向題目並以質化方式更深入探討研究;(三)簡化「操作電腦經驗」變項、增加「過去或現在的職業」以及「您希望學校(苑)可以增設何種服務」變項。

The purpose of this study is to investigate older adults’computer experience and related factors, including computer attitude and life satisfaction. The main purposes of this research are as follows:1.Understanding the situation of computer experience, computer attitude and life satisfaction of older adults; 2. Investigating the relationship between computer experience and computer attitude; 3. Investigating the relationship between computer experience and life satisfaction; 4. Analyzing the difference of demographic data on computer experience, computer attitude and life satisfaction. The research tool employed here is a structural questionnaire based on the overseas and domestic researches. The structural questionnaire includes demographic data sheet, life satisfaction scale, computer attitude scale, and computer experience scale. Participants were 251 older adults from Xiao Ming Elders’ University and Mo Inn Elders’Institute served as subjects of this research, and the response rate reached 96%。The collected data were processed by SPSS 13.0 with descriptive statistics (percentage, mean, and standard deviation), chi-square, t-test, one way ANOVA and Scheffe post-hoc method. The results revealed are as follows: 1. The life satisfaction of older adults is quite high, especially at the self-perception connotation; 2. The influcing factors of life satisfaction include economic situation and health status; 3. The computer attitude of older adults is positively good, especially at the computer usefulness connotation; 4. The influcing factors of computer attitude include age, education background, economic situation and health status; 5. Computer experience is positively related to computer attitude; 6. The computer learning motivations are mainly for trying something new and avoiding dropping behind. The main purposes of using computer are the usage of searching information and the usage of e-mail. The obstacles of using computer are the lack of computer knowledge and no-one-to-ask when encountering problems. The years of computer usage accumulated are 1-3 years long, the average days of computer usage are 1-3 days per week, and the average hour of computer usage is about one hour per day; 7. The influcing demographic factors of computer experience include gender, age, education background, economic situation, marriage and living style; 8. The life satisfaction of older adults who attended computer classes is higher than these who never attended, and the year of computer usage is related to life satisfaction as well. The findings can be served as the references for teaching and researching guidelines of older adults computer learning and policy making. The suggestions are as follows: I. Suggestions for the government:1. Encouraging older adults to participate computer learning events; 2. Subsidizing and assisting the older adult institute to offer computer classes; 3. Reforming the welfare policy for older adults. II. Suggestoins for the older adult institutes:1. Setting up computer class for older adults; 2. Establishing the system of computer assistance for older adults; 3. Providing different marketing strategies to difference older adults. III. Suggestions for older adults:1. Live with happy attitude; 2. Realize the importance of computer learning; 3. Have confidence and join learning actively. IV. Suggestions for the future research:1. The future research topic can focus on the relationship of e-learning and life satisfaction of older adults; 2. Having more variety samples, decreasing the negative questions, and using qualitative study; 3. Simplifing the variable of “computer using experience”, and add variables of “occupation” and “services that you hope the institute could provide”.
