Internationally, heritage tourism is recognized as a major growth area. Today, the growing interest in heritage tourism has been reflected in tourism planning documents and the establishment of academic program . Despite the growing interest in heritage tourism, there is a surprising lack of understanding of how visitors define the heritage site and what the activity of visiting heritage sites means to them. While some researchers have stated that the importance of heritage sites is their potential for educating the public. But, few have explored the theoretical foundations or underlying reasons for this phenomenon and rare have described or characterized about touristic learning. Because of such an approach, this paper used qualitative research methods to holistic understand of the tourists’ experiences on world cultural heritage tourism, and attempt to thick description and interpretation the meaning of touristic learning.
