臺灣歌謠的台北意像

淡水河是臺灣第三大河，也是臺灣早期唯一有航行之利的河川，因此在沿河右岸形成艋舺、大稻埕市街，後來更發展為全國最大的城市－台北。隨著淡水河河道的淤塞改變與污染、經濟型態及交通工具的轉型，讓它像河水般時起時落的轉移；不變的是，我們仍然脫離不了與淡水河互相依存的臍帶關係；多少古往今來的人事景物沉浮，造就了優美動人的淡水河人文風情面貌，引人深深陷入北台灣母親河的旎旎旋律中。臺灣歌謠是臺灣人在地生活的真實記錄。從臺灣歌謠走尋淡水河與台北城市中「人河關係」的生命歌謠。這些歌謠承載著發生在淡水河這片土地上的浮沉起落、鹹酸苦澀、甜美溫馨的故事。歌謠作詞作曲創作者細膩的觀察與批判，使用寫實或隱喻的方式，顯現出臺灣社會每個階層生活真實的聲音，留下使人感動並且具有時代意義與充滿生命力的臺灣歌謠，這種實在有感情的歌謠，讓人唱起會感動、很窩心、吐鬱氣、解憂悶。歌謠蘊含著民眾史，是傾聽人民與土地聲息很重要的途徑。筆者透過臺灣歌謠的整理，依據Kevin Lynch在《The Image of the City》理論來作研究。給民眾唱出好聽的歌謠，來熟識走過悠悠淡水河的人文歷史長河？歌謠怎樣抗議人類對河流的污染賤踏與期待？河流與台北城市用什款的歌謠來做對話？期望民眾熟識生養我們的土地，產生了認同、瞭解與愛慕；愛唱、守護與發展我們自己美麗優美感動的在地音樂文化–臺灣歌謠。

Tam7–tsui2 River is the third largest river in Taiwan; most importantly, it is the river that has the advantage of sailing. On the right bank of Tam7–tsui2 River, therefore, had gradually formed the towns of Manga, Toa7–Tiu7–Tiann5, and Taipei—the capital city of Taiwan. With silting, pollution, the transformation of economy and transportation means, one witnessed the ebb and flow of Tam7–tsui2 River. What has remained the same is the intimate interdependence between Taipei citizens and the river. The vicissitudes through the ages have cultivated the beautiful cultural scenes of Tam7–tsui2 River, thus inspiring many artists to create fine melodies for this mother river of the northern Taiwan. Taiwanese Ballads are the truthful records of local life in Taiwan. In this research, I intend to find how Taiwanese Ballads portray the close relationship among people, Taipei, and Tam7–tsui2 River. These ballads carry the weight of the vicissitudes, happiness and sorrows, sweet and bitter memories of Tam7–tsui2 River. The songwriters and composers, through meticulous observation and critique, represent the voices from every corner of Taiwanese society by realist or metaphorical styles in their vibrant and meaningful Taiwanese ballads. These ballads with overflowing emotions can console the singers, express their thoughts, and release their sorrows. Ballads contain the history of common people; they also provide important ways to understand the relationship between the land and people. The author does the research based on Kevin Lynch in《The Image of the City》theory. The researcher explores how Taiwanese Ballads portray the flowing cultural history of Tam7–tsui2 River through collecting and analyzing the songs. How do the ballads criticize the pollution done by local people? How do the ballads create dialogues between the river and Taipei city? Through this research, I hope to make Taiwanese people familiarize our nourishing land and form identity and appreciation on the one hand, and sing and protect our local music culture—Taiwanese ballads, on the other.
