The purpose of this study is to explore the healthy weight enhancement effectiveness acquired by engaging in stair-climbing activity through discontinuous exercise for junior high students in special education school. Research methodology adopted the multiple baseline across-subjects designs within the single subject research. Five participants were junior high students from special education school in the age group between 12 to 13 years old. Three of the five were in experimentation group and the other two in the control group. The experimentation group was intervened by engaging in stair-climbing activity through discontinuous exercise whereas the control group only recorded their body compositions. Findings of the research revealed that: 1. Stair-climbing activity through discontinuous exercise had the effectiveness to healthy weight enhancement for junior high students in special education school. 2. There had been significant differences observed in the healthy weight enhancement for junior high students in special education school whether the school was implemented with program of stair-climbing activity through discontinuous exercise or not. 3. Nonetheless when the program of stair-climbing activity through discontinuous exercise was withdrawn, none of the students could maintain the healthy weight. 4. After interviewed with concerned personnel, the findings indicated that this research possessed fair and good social validity.
