網路符號與水墨書法的交會－楊檉權創作研究

摘要

天涯若比鄰的電腦網際網路世界，其爆炸性的影響層面，從學術研究、教育、娛樂、通訊到商品交易等等，皆漸漸取代實體空間的舊有模式，成為一個全新的社會大眾場域。而「全球化」外來文化的入侵，不斷衝擊傳統書畫藝術的視覺觀點，讓傳統書法與繪畫到了現今，皆有重大的轉變，不管內在的內容思維，或是外在的形式創造，都有別於傳統藝術創作的模式。
　　其中現代書法的藝術表現，已跳脫傳統實用價值的書寫意義，再加上西方現代藝術風潮的影響，使得台灣、鄰近的日本書道，以及對岸中國大陸的現代書法藝術，都走向脫離傳統，並發展出多元、現代的創作書風。
　　本研究創作，將著重於發掘電腦網際網路所形塑出的視覺意象與符號，並結合水墨書法不同的書寫模式，以期創造出書法的現代語彙。其中包含融合近代80年代以後的現代書法概念、水墨技法，以及傳統吉祥圖案；並加入電腦視窗的視覺意象，以及以電腦字體取代傳統書寫的概念，讓傳統書畫同源的理論，有不同的詮釋。並期盼所產生出的新視覺效果，在與用筆用墨的水墨與書法創作結合後，發展出更多元的書法融合表現。

Cyberspace has altered the world to a considerable extent. Numerous aspects have been beneficially influenced, such as scientific researches, education, entertainment, communication and commercial transaction, and so forth. It is obvious that cyberspace has gradually substituted for conventional physical instruments and made the world a brand new sphere. Globalization has drastically impacted on Chinese calligraphy and landscapes. Both inner philosophy and outer feature have differed from traditional stereotype.
Modern calligraphy has been to some extent influenced by Western culture. The growing phenomenon of modern calligraphy exits not only in Taiwan, but also in neighboring countries, such as Japan and Mainland China. Consequently, modern calligraphy has evolved into multi-dimensional style, which has escaped from traditional practical value.
This research puts the emphasis on visual images and icons produced by cyber-technology. With the combination of computer technology and traditional Chinese calligraphy, it is expected to initiate a new style of calligraphy, which involves modern calligraphy concept, Chinese painting skills, and traditional auspicious symbols. Moreover, while computer fonts have substituted for traditional handwriting, modern calligraphy and Chinese paintings are expected to have novel interpretation and visual effects.
