臺灣大專學生棒球隊運作現況調查研究

A Study on The Current Operation of Student Baseball Teams among the Universities in Taiwan

摘要

本研究旨在瞭解臺灣大專學生棒球隊運作現況，探討運作所面臨之問題，進一步分析提出解決對策及建議，以作為臺灣大專學生棒球隊運作發展上之參考。本研究第一階段以研究者自編之「臺灣大專學生棒球隊運作現況調查問卷」為研究工具，並以參與九十九學年度大專棒球運動聯賽八十四支球隊為研究對象，進行問卷調查。第二階段根據量化研究結果編製訪談大綱，並以三位教練、二位隊長以及一位教育行政機關職員為受訪對象進行深度訪談。研究結果經彙整分析及討論後，獲致結論如下：
一、臺灣大專學生棒球隊以成立十年以上，由學生自發性成立居多，並且球隊
組成依參賽組別不同，而有不同的選手、教練、經費及場地來源。
二、大專學生棒球隊運作面臨主要問題：（一）選手素質參差不齊；（二）教
練人數不足；（三）無贊助廠商；（四）無專用棒球場地，以致造成球隊
運作困難。
三、大專學生棒球隊運作面臨問題之解決對策：（一）辦理校內棒球比賽、開
設棒球課程，以普及校園棒球風氣，提升大專選手素質；（二）認養棒球
場地、尋求企業贊助棒球場地、普設夜間照明設備、結合縣市政府之資
源，以改善場地及經費不足；（三）配合運動科學選才及訓練、大專教練
培訓及研習機制及專任運動教練普及化，以強化選手技能及完善教練之不
足。

本研究建議，大專棒球隊之運作可從普及棒球運動於各大專校院的重點運動發展項目，確立大專學生棒球隊所屬輔導單位以供協助，以及鼓勵社會資源之投入，以促進大專學生棒球隊永續運作並且健全大專學生棒球運動之發展。

The purpose of this study was to clarify the current operation of student baseball teams among the universities in Taiwan and to investigate the problems faced while teams are operating. Further strategies and suggestions to the problems have been provided as reference of the development of student baseball teams. This study collected data from 84 subjects, the baseball teams that have participated in the baseball league among universities , in the first phase through questionnaires. In the second phase, three coaches, two captains of team and an administrator working in the educational institution were served as in-depth interview subjects. And the results were as followed:
i.Student baseball teams among the universities in Taiwan have been established for more than a decade and are spontaneously founded by students. In addition, players, coaches, expenses and grounds will vary with the groups taking part in the games.
ii.The principal problems that student baseball teams are facing are as follows: (a) Players whose quality is far less uniform, (b) the understaffing of coaches, (c) None of the sponsors, and (d) No exclusive baseball grounds, all of which leave the teams hard to operate.
iii.The following are the problem-solving strategies to the operation of student baseball teams: (a) to hold baseball games on campus, to open courses related to baseball, to popularize baseball on campus and to promote the quality of student participants, (b) to claim the baseball grounds, to ask enterprises to sponsor the grounds, to extensively install illuminative facilities, to integrate with the government resources and to better the problems to do with grounds and the insufficiency of expenses, (c) to co-operate to the selection of the talented and training in sports science, the training by coaches working in universities, the mechanism of research and study and the popularization of the full-time coaches to strengthen participants’ skills and to perfect the inadequacy concerned with coaches.

Researcher suggest that baseball ought to be included in the list of important sports in every university and that the counseling departments to which the teams belong, too, need to be set up for the purpose of providing assistance. Furthermore, social resources are recommended to be spent on it for enabling student baseball teams operating on and on and for completing the development of the student baseball teams among universities.
