本研究主要的目的在探討台北市與屏東縣之公立國民中學正式教師專業發展概況,並了解與比較教師是否會因其不同背景變項而影響其參與專業發展活動的程度。因此,本研究的重要目的有下列六項:(一)探究國民中學教師專業發展的內涵。(二)瞭解國民中學教師專業發展的現況。(三)比較不同背景變項的國中教師其專業發展之差異。(四)探討影響國民中學教師專業發展的因素。(五)規劃促進國民中學教師專業發展的有效策略。(六)根據研究結果,研擬具體可行建議。 為達成上述之研究目的,本研究首先藉由對教師專業發展的相關文獻之蒐集、閱讀、整理及分析的過程,探討教師專業發展之內涵、意義與理論基礎,以作為本研究發展與編製問卷之基礎;其次,採用問卷調查法來蒐集資料以資佐證。研究之主要工具為參酌林生傳(2002)發展出來的教師專業成長指標共計十八層面為依據,再由研究者經文獻探討後,設計編製而成的「教師專業發展研究問卷」,問卷調查以台北市與屏東縣之具有正式教師資格的現職公立國民中學教師為研究對象,總計發出31所國中900份問卷;回收問卷606份,回收率67.3%,扣除無效問卷8份之後,得有效問卷598份,可用率66.4%。 調查所得的資料,採用SPSS for Windows10.0 版套裝電腦統計應用程式,進行次數分配百分比以及卡方檢定等統計處理,以瞭解受試者是否因其不同背景變項,對各題同意程度的看法有顯著差異的存在,並對中學教師的專業發展情況有概括性的瞭解,以作為資料的初步分析。除此之外,本研究並更進一步的探求影響教師專業發展的重要因素與因應的策略規劃,期能協助教師規劃自我專業發展,同時亦作為行政單位及大專院校、學術機構等辦理教師在職進修及研習活動之參考依據。 關鍵詞:專業、教師專業發展、城鄉差異、國民中學教師
The main purpose of this research is to investigate the current situation of Taipei and Ping-tong’s junior high school teachers’ professional development, and to explore whether teachers’ various background variable would influence their level of professional development or not. The objectives of this research are as follow: First, to explore the connotation of junior high school teachers' professional development. Secondly, to investigate the current situation of junior high school teachers’ professional development. Thirdly, to compare the difference level of professional development through teachers’ various background variable. Fourthly, to study the factors those influence teachers’ professional development. Fifthly, to scheme the effective strategy to promote teachers’ professional development. Sixthly, to draw up the specific suggestions according to the outcome of research. We adopt the literature review and the document analysis on theories and background level as the basis of the compilation of questionnaire. “Teachers’ professional development questionnaire” is the major research tool. The questionnaires are sent to the junior high school teachers of Taipei and Ping-tong. The total samples are 31schools and 900 teachers. The number of valid returned questionnaires is 598, which is 66.4﹪of the total samples. We conduct the statistical data analysis by using SPSS10.0 for Windows. Besides, we propose our recommendation for the draft of teachers’ professional development system and future research directions.
