生理回饋輔助放鬆訓練對研究生焦慮反應之成效

摘要


中 文 摘 要 本研究主要目的在探討生理回饋輔助放鬆訓練對於研究生焦慮反應之成效。以國立臺灣師範大學的碩、博士研究生共14名為研究對象,採用等組前後測實驗設計,隨機將之分成實驗組與控制組,實驗組接受為期八週,每週一次、每次50分鐘的生理回饋輔助放鬆訓練,控制組則無接受任何實驗處理,最後僅12人的資料經統計分析處理。本研究以「情境與特質焦慮量表」和「Pro Comp Infiniti生理回饋儀器」為量化研究工具,測量受試者的焦慮程度以及肌電反應,所得資料以t考驗和效果量進行統計處理,並分析研究者自編之「生理回饋輔助放鬆訓練之問卷回饋表」為輔佐資料,以了解本研究方案實施之效果。本研究主要發現如下: 一、經過生理回饋輔助放鬆訓練後,實驗組研究生的焦慮程度前後測無統計顯著差異;與控制組研究生相比時,實驗組研究生的情境焦慮及整體焦慮反應達統計顯著差異,且具有高度效果量。 二、經過生理回饋輔助放鬆訓練後,實驗組研究生的肌電反應不論在前後測數值的比較以及實驗組與控制組測量數值的比較都未達統計上顯著差異。 三、實驗組研究生對「生理回饋輔助放鬆訓練」看法採正向態度,普遍認為此訓練對降低焦慮反應有幫助,亦對個人在身體覺察度、情緒、專注力、因焦慮引起之症狀、生活型態調整等層面有幫助。 最後,研究者根據本研究結果加以討論,並提出具體建議,以作為心理輔導與諮商工作,及未來研究之參考。 關鍵字:研究生、焦慮、生理回饋輔助放鬆訓練、肌電反應訓練

Abstract The purpose of this study is to understand the efficacy of biofeedback-assisted relaxation training on reducing graduate students’ anxiety. The design of equivalent pre-post test was applied to the study. Fourteen graduate students at National Taiwan Normal University participated in this study and were randomly assigned to either the experimental group or the control group. Participants in the experimental group received eight weekly sessions of 50-minute biofeedback-assisted relaxation training over the course of 8 weeks. Participants in the control group received no treatment. The data of twelve participants were analyzed statistically. State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) and Pro Comp Infiniti Biofeedback Instrument were the quantitative instruments utilized to measure the participants’ levels of anxiety and electromyography (EMG). The collected data were analyzed with t-test and effect size. The researcher also implemented the Biofeedback-assisted Relaxation Training Questionnaire as an auxiliary on posttest to understand the effectiveness of the training. The main findings of this study were the following: 1. (1) After biofeedback-assisted relaxation training, the participants’ anxiety level in the experimental group between pre-post test was not statistically significant. (2) The state anxiety and whole anxiety reaction between the experimental and control group were statistically significant, and the effect size was large. 2. After biofeedback-assisted relaxation training, the EMG pre-post measurement data of the participants in the experimental group did not have statistical significant difference. The EMG measurement data was not statistically significant between experimental and control group. 3. Participants in the experimental group had positive attitude toward the biofeedback-assisted relaxation training. They thought the training was helpful in reducing anxiety and other areas such as, increasing physiological self-awareness, stabilizing emotion, increasing level of concentration, mitigating anxiety related symptoms and initiating lifestyle change etc. The foregoing results were discussed at the latter part of this study. Some concrete suggestions on counseling and research were also provided. Key Words: graduate student, anxiety, biofeedback-assisted relaxation training, EMG training
