本研究透過精障者本身的觀點,理解精神疾病對精障者所帶來的困境有哪些?以及精障者如何因應精神疾病帶來的困境(包括個人、家庭和社會等面向)。透過精障朋友生命故事的瞭解,探索他們的復元歷程,以及瞭解促發他們造成正向改變的力量來源是什麼? 本研究以深度訪談方式,以及五個月的田野參與觀察蒐集資料,以實踐會所模式的真福之家作為研究場域,共訪問了九位精障者。研究結果發現如下:(一)精障者的疾病經驗:個人層面上所受到的影響包括社會角色中斷與封閉在家;在家庭層面上影響到家人的互動關係與溝通不良;在社會層面上所受到的影響包括因社會污名而隱藏疾病身分、社會生活適應困難與社會排除、人際關係與就業問題,以及受限制的經驗。(二)真福之家的六大復元元素:分別為「提升自信和自 我價值感」、「人際連結學習、社會參與和社群經驗」、「平等關係」、「支持性、正向氛圍的環境和歸屬感」、「更多自由和自主性」,以及「卸下病人角色的束縛」。(三)復元歷程的階段性經驗:理解精障者復元歷程的階段性經驗。(四)復元因素: 精障者感受到來自外在結構和內在結構的復元因素。外在復元因素,包括社會支持、規律生活、生活安排與培養多元興趣,以及宗教力量與工作;內在復元因素,包括保持正向信念與生活態度、了解自我優缺和自我狀況、自我調整和改變、目標感、引發信心的經驗和責任感。
The aim of this study is to understand the process of recovery of persons with mental illness, using a hermeneutic approach. The data collection of this study includes depth interview method and field participant observation. The study site is“Blessed House”, which is a clubhouse for persons with mental illness. A total of 9 participants are interviewed in the study. Four themes emerge from the analysis process: (1) the life stories and illness experiences of persons with mental illness; (2) six recovery elements in the “Blessed Houses”; (3) the recovery process of persons with mental illness; and (4) recovery factors, including external and internal factors. The findings of this study add to existing knowledge about the process of the recovery of persons with mental illness in Taiwan.
