青年原住民族的貧窮探討

摘要

本研究為了解青年原住民族貧窮的成因，採中央研究院2007「臺灣原住民社會變遷與政策評估調查研究」資料庫，以18-29歲青年原住民背景資料、個人資本、家庭結構等為自變項，工作狀況及工作滿意度為中介變項，及是否貧窮為依變項，透過邏輯迴歸分析各自變項對依變項的影響。
研究發現，本研究發現，性別、年齡、工作滿意度會直接影響工作狀況。而年齡、子女數、工作狀況會直接影響家庭貧窮與否。而性別、年齡、工作滿意度會通過工作狀況間接影響家庭貧窮與否。本研究亦發現工作狀況對家庭貧窮有直接的影響。此外，本研究將父母族系作為背景因素的自變項之一，經過統計分析發現父母族別、家庭形態對於工作狀況或是否貧窮均無顯著影響，其政策意涵為，無論原住民青年出身是單親家庭還是雙親家庭，對貧窮並無顯著的影響，對於原住民青年擬定就業輔助政策，宣導層面可以強調家庭形態對是否找到工作，是否貧窮沒有任何顯著的影響，更不用說是決定的影響。

Using the data of the Taiwan Indigenous People Survey (TIPS), this paper tries to understand the factors that affect the poverty of indigenous youth. The research uses indigenous youths’ aged between 15 to 24 personal backgrounds, personal capital, and family structure as independent variables. Working status and working satisfaction as intervening variables, and poverty as the dependent variable. Because the dependent variable is dichotomous scale, so logical regressions are employed in the study.
The results show that the indigenous gender, age, working satisfaction will directly influence working status. Age, the number of children, and working status will directly influence the family poverty. The research also shows that the working status will directly influence the family poverty.
Besides, the research uses parents’ tribes as one of the independent variable and it shows that neither parents’ trible nor family structures show the influence among poverty. It means that there’s no influence no matter the indigenous youths are born in single-parent families or two-parent families. The policy that help the indigenous youth to find jobs can emphasize that the family structure and poverty have no influence in finding jobs.
