Much research shows that music consumption is influenced by social position. Some focus in mono-social position, e.g., class or status, some focus in multi-social position, eg. education, cohort and race. This article use Taiwan Social Change Survey( TSCS)data to test the relationship between music consumption and social position(N=1279). In general, my result shows that individualisation argument has received the strongest empirical support, especially for the education and cohort variable, if compared to either class and status or homology and Omnivore-Univore arguments.
