台灣社會宗教信仰與疏離感之研究

摘要

後現代社會帶來產業結構及生活方式的改變，使人們容易因社會適應問題產生疏離感（alienation），而宗教信仰以終極關懷的概念提供一套為多數人所接受的意義系統，以達到心靈慰藉的功能。
　本文基於對宗教信仰的興趣，想了解台灣民眾的信仰情形，與宗教是否影響我們對周遭環境的感受。因此，提出三點研究目的：一、了解不同信仰類別在宗教態度上的情形。二、了解不同人口變項、宗教信仰變項在疏離感上的情形。三、評估宗教信仰變項對於疏離感的解釋性。
　本文以Seeman（1959）提出的疏離感層面，包括：無力感、無意義感、無規範感、自我疏離感為主要探討指標，並以國內學者瞿海源（1988）的研究為對照模型，研究結果發現：宗教態度會增加一些疏離感，但是疏離感也會加強其信仰態度，不過，以疏離感預測宗教態度模型的解釋量較佳。
　本文得到結論：(1)宗教信仰對於疏離感是有解釋性的；(2)宗教態度愈強，會影響其疏離感。信仰者從不同的宗教教義去體驗人生道理，無關乎好與不好的問題，筆者認為宗教信仰為人們所建構的社會制度，人們遵從制度約束而維持社會秩序，相對的卻也產生疏離現象，所以，了解信仰對自己的意義，才能在制度的運作下維持個人自由意念，人們在社會中保有其自主性以降低疏離感。

This study is written because of the interest in religion, desire to realize the religion of Taiwan people and influence of religion to our environment. Therefore, we take “alienation” indicated by Seeman as indicator, including powerlessness, meaninglessness, normlessness, social isolation. In addition, we take the research of Professor Hei-Yuan Chiu (1988) for contrast. The conclusion of research points out that the attitude to religion increases alienation, and the alienation confirms the attitude of religion. However, the model of alienation that forecast the attitude of religion provides appropriate explanation.
The conclusion of this research:
(1)The religious belief can explain some of the alienation.
(2)The strong attitude to religion will influence the alienation.
Believers experience the philosophy of life from different religious beliefs, whether it is good or not. We consider that religion extablishes the social system that people obey and hold out the harmony of society, in contrast, religion also causes the alienation. Thence, to believe without fetish will keep the free will and decrease the alienation.
