本研究為身心障礙患者發展即時EEG輸入設備與訓練評估系統,EEG輸入設備以單點量測方法,偵測特定動作之腦波訊號,使用模糊史密特觸發演算法,調整腦波動作訊號之判斷準位,將腦波動作訊號轉換為摩斯碼文書輸入系統(Morse code Text input system,McTin)的輸入訊號,摩斯碼文書輸入系統能經由電腦輸入任何國家的文字,例如英文、中文和經由無線或紅外線控制家電。腦波輸入訓練系統是為了讓使用者快速學習如何將腦波訊號轉換為控制訊號,藉由腦波輸入訓練系統四種模式,讓使用者學習控制腦波訊號,四種模式分別為腦波準位評估模式,用於偵測使用者腦波強度大小,腦波監測模式用於讓使用者可即時觀察腦波及控制訊號變化狀況,腦波控制訓練模式讓使用者練習控制腦波訊號的產生,輸入練習模式讓使用者控制腦波變化,並透過編碼組合產生字元,透過四種模式的訓練,使用者可應用腦波來做基本開關控制或透過編碼處理後,做電腦字元輸入。 本研究除了降低成本昂貴的腦波測量設備,單點量測方法能節省設定裝置和訊號分析時間,訊號不會受到講話、眨眼及轉頭等動作干擾。透過腦波輸入訓練系統讓初學者比未使用腦波輸入訓練系統的使用者,能有效地提高辨識率及減少學習時間。經過四週訓練後,使用者能達到穩定的操作速度,他們輸入字母A到Z只要花費100秒,平均辨識率97%。本研究腦波輸入設備每0.125秒可下達一個控制指令(例如開/關指令),透過EEG McTin平均3到5秒經由摩斯編碼輸入一個文字(約5英文字)。此系統讓無大腦損傷功能正常的人們可輕鬆地與他人溝通。
In this study, we develop the Real-Time EEG Input device and EEG Training Evaluation System for the person with disability. The EEG input device is proposed to detect a specific action of the EEG signals by a single-point measurement method, used Fuzzy Schmitt trigger algorithm to adjust the recognition level for EEG action signal and converts the EEG action signal to input signal of Morse code Text input system (McTin). Morse code Text input system can enter characters for every country through PC, such as English, Chinese and can control the house appliances through wireless or IR. The EEG input training system allows users to learn how to convert EEG signals into control signals quickly. There are four modes in EEG input training system allows users learn to control EEG signals, while the four modes namely EEG level assessment mode, used to detect the EEG intensity of the user; EEG monitor mode can be used to allow users observed the changes of EEG and control signals in real-time; EEG control training mode allows the user to practice controlling the generation of EEG signals; Enter practice mode allows users to control the EEG changes and through the encoding to produce the character. Through the four modes of training, the user can be applied to do the basic switch control by EEG or through the encoding process, to do the characters entered in the computer. This research in addition to reduce the cost of expensive EEG measurement apparatus, the single-point measurement method can save time in the setting device and signal analysis, the action such as speech, blink eyes, and turning head has not interference this signal. Through the EEG input training system allows the beginner efficiently to raise the recognition rate and reduce the learning time of EEG input than those users who not using EEG input training system. After four weeks of training, the users can reach a stable operating speed, they type the letters from ‘A’ to ‘Z’ only spends about 100 seconds, the average recognition rate is 97%. The proposed EEG input device emits a control command every 0.125 second (such as ON / OFF command) and typing a word (about five English characters) takes about 3 to 5 seconds by Morse code input through EEG McTin. This system allows the people without brain damage to perform functional movements in order to communicate with others easily.
