渦旋形態結合光媒材的造形研究

The Research on the Combination of Spiral Form and Lighting Materials

摘要


渦旋造形的涵義從古至今有不同的解讀,過去對於渦旋造形的解釋當中,「循環生生不息」的意義是較為普遍的,其所使用的範圍以裝飾性的功能為主,但至今卻可以知覺與設計的角度,來看待這具有「酩酊感」的造形。渦旋造形除了擁有傳統與現代的涵義,但在本研究所要探討的重心是,藉由文獻分析的方式,將渦旋造形就構成的形態加以分析與探討,並且結合當今科技媒材與技術,運用在運動構成的造形上。根據多位學者的研究指出,渦旋造形就構成形態來看,是個「放射」的構成形式,雖渦旋造形皆具有向心、離心和同心的特徵存在,但在文獻指出渦旋造形是屬於放射形式中同心式結構的一種。本研究將渦旋造形依據比例的形式,以及線條間隔距離的形態分成:1.等差渦旋、2.外大內窄的渦旋、3.外窄內大的渦旋、4.不規則的渦旋形態等四大類形。 此外,本研究嘗試透過跨領域的融合,將科技與藝術相互結合,藉著運用實驗研究法,針對造形的創作過程加以深入探討與分析,並且將實驗結果運用在本研究三件創作的設計作品上。本研究的創作造形將透過點的線化、線的面化之構成形式,表現出放射形態與渦旋造形的連結,並藉著馬達的運動裝置,創造出不同形態與造形的動態作品。在創作一當中,藉著點構成的造形以及材質的折射,在馬達的轉動之下產生光跡的錯視現象。此外,創作二和創作三則是透過造形程式化的轉換,藉著燈源點滅的似動現象,以及搭配馬達高速旋轉之下,產生運動殘像的視覺錯視效果,同時在這成果顯示中,並發現當馬達在高速迴轉之下,到達人類對於速度的視覺極限時,在知覺上便產生逆迴轉的錯視現象。   最後,本研究針對文獻歸納與創作過程,整理出結論與建議: 1.二次元的渦旋造形透過運動現象,可以營造出虛擬的三次元空間,增添畫面上的趣味性。 2.運用新媒材,整合出獨特的渦旋造形視覺效果。 3.建議在似動現象的轉速變化,應介於0.03秒到0.2秒的轉速範圍內。 4.造形變化的過程亦可透過陣列式的方法,作為與程式人員溝通的橋樑。 5.後續研究亦可嘗試以360度的概念,創作出3D空間造形的殘像效果。

Spiral form has many definitions. Spiral was circulation, and used for decoration. Today it’s regarded as a “drunkenness form” from perception and design. This research use references to analyze the construction of spiral form, and combine the technical materials to apply motion construction. According to many references, the construction of spiral is base on Radial shape. And the characters of spiral are centripetal, off-center and concentric coexistent on outline. Spiral is a constitution of radiate concentric circles. This research categorized the spiral form in terms of the form of proportion, and the distance between the lines in following types: 1. Equal spiral, 2. Increasing spiral, 3. Decreasing spiral, 4. Anomalous spiral. In addition, this study tries to combine technology and art, used the experiment methodology to analyze and probe the creation process of spiral form into the experiment result of my works. The creation of the radiate and spiral form will be used the movement from point to line to create different spiral forms. There are three of my works to exam the theory which is described as below: My first art work is the form of point construction and the refraction of materials in rotating motor to produce the illusion of lighting. The second and third ones are used the program of form to produce the apparent movement, and adding motor to produce illusion of the movement after-image. After the exams, we can get the result as when the motor in high speed rotation will produce the illusion of the contrary rotation in the perception. Also, this study has five conclusions as: 1. The spiral form of two-dimensional of movement can create the virtual of three-dimensional illusion which increased the graphic interest. 2. Combine with new materials it can produce a special visual effect. 3. When the apparent movement changes speed between 0.03 second to 0.2 second. 4. The change process of form use array method, to communication with the program of personnel. 5. In the future, trying to use by 360 degrees to create after-image of the three-dimensional form.
