雲豹的傳人─原住民創新角色〝人獸合體造型〞動畫創作研究

摘要


本研究最初的目的在於創作與市面上有所區別的原住民動畫。市面上原住民動畫主要以闡述原住民神話為主要訴求,較少有新的嘗試與改編,如角色創作、故事內容、表現手法都以傳統方式來呈現。本研究主要訴求在發展新的人獸角色造型,創作奇幻故事,使用多種表現方式。因此本研究開始探討古老神話中,神祇不同於人的造型與神話淵源,從古老埃及至希臘羅東時代,延伸至東方古印度和擁有四千年歷史的中國古老神話,每一個傳說和神話,都有著非人型的神祇,代表從古代人們就對人獸合體有著崇高的尊敬與敬畏;之後再深入了解當代東西方的動畫、漫畫大師們,如何運用這人獸合體的古老素材,來創作出展新的作品。最後將所吸收的想法運用在本研究『雲豹傳人』上,創造出豹人的新角色造型,劇本故事以原住民神話做為出發點,發展出屬於豹人魯凱達的專屬劇情。場景使用奇幻造型,突破以往寫實場景,表現手法使用3D結合2D的壁畫風格,區別於全3D製作與全2D製作的動畫作品,創作出新樣貌的台灣原住民動畫。 在創作部份嘗試以原住民古老動物神靈結合人類的角色與巨神像設計為主,用漫畫式風格來呈現的奇幻冒險動畫,讓本創作能表現出較特殊的原住民文化特色,以及開創更多屬於原住民文化之文化創意商品。

The purpose of this study was to create aboriginal animations which were distinct from those currently available in the market. These animations usually focus on elaborating aboriginal myths. There are rarely any attempts at revision; for example, character descriptions, stories and expressions are invariably presented through conventional approaches. This study primarily aims to develop a new approach to half-Orc character modeling, creating fantastic stories and applying various styles related to expression. Therefore, the study first initiated an investigation into the distinct appearance of non-humanoid gods originating in the ancient myths which ranged from Egypt, Greece and Rome to the Indian and Chinese myths with a history of some four thousand years. Each legend and myth involved a non-humanoid god; the results indicated that ancient peoples highly respected and were particularly awed by the half-Orc. This study further interpreted how various contemporary eastern and western masters of animation and comics used the ancient elements of half-Orc to create brand-new artwork. As a result, the relevant concepts were utilized in this study, i.e. “The Successors of Clouded Leopard” in order to create a new character, the leopard man. The story script was based on the aboriginal myths which developed a unique plot involving the leopard man, Rukaida. The scenes are presented in fantastic forms that different from the previous realistic ones, and a mural style of 3D consolidating 2D images is used for artistic expression that differs from the animation works of full 3D or full 2D productions to create a new Taiwanese aboriginal animation. The creation highlights the characters by integrating aboriginal ancient animal spirits and human as well as huge god designed images to display a fantastic adventure animation through comic style to present relatively specific aboriginal cultural features as well as develop more creative cultural products related to aboriginal culture.
