In this study,a grating fabricated with cholesteric liquid crystals doped with silica nanoparticles can roate the diffraction direction,The principle is that thedirection of diffraction pattern in the cholesteric liquid crystal cell with hybrid alignment vary with the applied voltage. In the experiment,the homeogeneous alignment were used. By modulating the doped silica nanoparticles in the CLC cell,the hybrid alignment cell with vertical alignment in up and in down substrates were obtained. Therefore the diffraction pattern of the ,cholesteric liquid crystal grating can be ratated clockwise and anticlockwise.
