現今,鋼結構項目是採用電腦輔助工程(Computer Aided Engineering, CAE)這套工具所設計的,用於分析和製造它們的產品。但大部分的時間,單一CAE應用軟體不使用從設計階段到最後製作階段。因此,在這樣的情況下,準確的傳輸數據進出應用軟體將扮演著至關重要的作用。基於ISO 10303,德國鋼結構協會(DStV)介紹 ”產品界面於鋼結構下” 在不同的CAE應用程式間進行數據交換。根據這個界面製作數據可輸出一中立檔案用於電腦輔助製造。這個檔案包含了所需製造的所有製造業的鋼結構件數據。但根據機械的要求,這個中立檔案應被翻譯或後處理於製造上。在這個研究項目的翻譯器應發展到解譯(interpret)上述所提及的中立檔案格式並產生NC(Numerical Control)部分加工程序以及機器手臂(robot)軌跡於製造上。
Nowadays, steel construction projects use Computer aided engineering (CAE) facilities for designing, analyzing and fabrication of their products. But most of the time, single CAE application software is not used from the design stage to the final fabrication stage. Therefore accurate data transferring in and out of the application software plays a vital role in this case. Based on ISO 10303, German Steel Construction Association (DStV) introduced “Product Interface steel Construction” for data exchanging between different CAE application programs. According to this interface fabrication data can be exported to a neutral file which can be used for Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM). This file includes all the manufacturing data required to fabricate steel structural members. But this neutral file should be translated or post processed according to the requirements of the machinery used for fabrication. In this research project a translator is developed to interpret the above mentioned neutral file format and generate NC part program and robot trajectory for manufacturing.
