As the high flexion research of the knee has become a new studying interest, the understanding for dynamic contact force for the posterior-stabilized type total knee replacement in a high flexion angle is still lacking. The objective of this study is to create a model to simulate and the dynamic contact force for the posterior-stabilized type total knee replacement in a high flexion angle. The artificial knee model is constructed by the computed tomography (CT) image of human knee joints using the SolidWorks software. The motion of the knee joints were simulated using the spring instead of the ligament models. The methodology will contribute to an effective modeling for the knee joint in extreme flexions and predict the distribution of contact force between Cam and Post.
