本篇論文探討IP多媒體子系統(IP Multimedia Subsystem; IMS)的服務觸發(service invocation)機制,針對現有標準IMS服務觸發機制中所可能產生的問題,包括服務觸發時間延遲、網路元件負載等問題。我們利用分散式方法(distributed approach)以及針對一個session中每一個訊息來決定是否真正需要做服務觸發,並且提出兩種分散式架構;分析的部分,我們利用OMNeT++模擬軟體模擬各種架構產生模擬值,此外利用Jackson Network作Queuing Model分析產生理論值,比較各種架構的整體時間延遲、網路元件負載和整體等待時間,透過模擬值與理論值的比較互相驗證所推導公式以及模擬程式的正確性,最後根據分析的結果,整理各種架構的優缺點。
In this article, we investigated the mechanism of service invocation in IP multimedia subsystem. Especially on the drawbacks of current service invocation issue, such as, delay time, load of network components, etc. We proposed two distributed approaches which could detect each message to decide whether to invoke Application Servers(ASs) or not. As performance analysis part, we used OMNeT++ to simulate each architecture and used Jackson Network to derive queueing formula for each architecture. We could compare, such as, total delay time, load of network components and total queueing time. By comparing analog value and theoretical value, we could verify the correctness of formula and simulation code. Finally, according to performance analysis, we introduced advantages and disadvantages of each architecture.
