台灣TFTLCD產業價值鏈的財務競爭力分析

Analysis of the Financial Competitive Power on the Value Chain of TFT-LCD industry in Taiwan

摘要

近年來面板產業被視為夕陽工業，甚至許多人質疑台灣當初大舉投入面板產業是一個錯誤的政策。為了解面板產業歷經15年的發展，究竟發展出哪些具有競爭力的廠商，以證明此產業並非一無是處。本文蒐集40家面板產業中的公司（含上市、上櫃與興櫃），利用財務五力分析與杜邦方程式分析找出台灣面板產業中最具競爭力的廠商。
研究結果顯示，台灣的驅動IC廠商合計市占率已約達全球一半，且不論收益力或生產力都相當具有競爭力；進一步發現台灣有機會利用面板廠所建立的市場規模去帶動上游零組件廠商的發展，也就是將傳統產業長久以來所建累積的技術與科技產業接軌，這將可成為台灣發產面板產業下一個方向。

In recent years, the display industry in Taiwan is going down and is not worth for further development and investment that is been considered as a sunsetting industry. Many people start to challenge government's strategy of developing display industry in Taiwan which took a lot of money and resources. We try to investigate that if valuable companies do exist in Taiwan display industry after 15 years' development. Then, we can prove that the investment in display indystry is not failed at all. This study collects 40 listed display industry companies' financial data, and use Financial Five-Force Analysis and Du Pont Analysis to find out which companies are valuable and do worth for devoting.
Results show that Taiwan deiver IC companies' total worldwide marketshare is close to 50%, and are very competitive in both earning and productivity. Furthernore, Taiwan companies could use its market share built in display panel market to support its upstream supply chain into market and grow it. So it is also has chance for traditional industry's accumulated technology to be used in display industry. This could be the next wave growing opportunity for Taiwan display industry.
