電子郵件系統採用HDD及SSD後的效能比較

摘要


固態硬碟使用非揮發性記憶體作為儲存空間,具有省電、靜音、抗震、高效能的優點,在製造成本越來越低的情況下,漸漸取代了已有60年歷史的傳統硬碟。本文以比較固態硬碟與傳統硬碟應用在資料容量不大,內容重複性質高的電子郵件系統是否仍能發揮應有效能為重點,作為企業採用HDD或是SSD架構的參考評估。雖然由測試結果得到SSD的效能仍是遠大於HDD的效能,但是SSD高成本、損壞時資料無法挽救的問題仍是在建置時需要列入考量的地方。

In this paper, we compare the SSD and HDD applied to the data capacity is small, duplicate content is high whether e-mail system can still achieve the desired performance is the focus of our attention, as a enterprises adopt HDD or SSD reference architecture assessment. Although the test results obtained by the SSD performance is still much larger than the HDD performance, but the high cost of SSD, when irreparable loss of data problems is need to be consideration.
