本研究以苯磺酸及對甲苯磺酸為催化劑進行孟宗竹之酚液化處理,探討其最適當之液化條件,及液化產物用於製備resol型酚甲醛樹脂(phenol formaldehyde;PF)與間苯二酚-酚-甲醛樹脂(resorcinol phenol formaldehyde;RPF)之最適當合成條件,及其樹脂應用於合板與木材之膠合性能。結果顯示,酚液化孟宗竹材之最適當液化條件為酚/竹粉重量比3.0/1.0,苯磺酸催化劑用量,以對酚添加量為5-15 %,反應溫度130 ℃,反應60 min。酚液化竹材以製備水溶性Resol型酚樹脂條件時,以甲醛/酚化竹材產物(phenolated bamboo;Pb)/NaOH之莫耳比1.8/1/0.4,在85 ℃反應溫度下反應30 min者,其用於合板膠合之膠合剪力最佳,且均能符合合板標準膠合強度大於7 kgf/cm2以上之要求(CNS 1349 , 2008)。以液化竹材產物製備間苯二酚-酚-甲醛樹脂製備時,其合成條件以液化竹材Pb / F1(第一階段所添加福馬林之莫耳比) / F2(第二階段所添加福馬林之莫耳比)/ R=1/0.5/0.34/0.34時,有較佳之膠合強度值。以各種液化產物製備間苯二酚-酚甲醛樹脂,其中除PRPbF-30外,其餘皆能符合CNS 11031結構用集成材之膠合強度要求。
The purpose of this study was intend to use benzenesulfonic acid and p-toluenesulfonic acid as catalysts in phenolation of moso bamboo inner layler shavings trying to find out the suitable liquefaction conditions .Then, what is the most suitable synthetic conditions for preparing PF and RPF from phenolated moso bamboo and the shear bond strength of plywood and glued laminated wood bonded by these phenolic resins were also studied . The results show that the suitable conditions for phenolation of moso bamboo inner layler shavings were phenol-to-bamboo weight ratio of 3.0/1.0 , with benzenesulfonic acid addition ranging from 7.5-15 % , at the reaction temperature of 130 ℃ for 60 min. And the most suitable condition for preparing water-soluble phenolic resol resin from phenolated moso bamboo is the formulation that with the molar ratio of formaldehyde to phenolated bamboo to NaOH is 1.8/1/0.4 , and at 85 ℃ reaction for 30 min .The shear bond strength of plywood bonded by this phenolic resol resin can be satisfied with the Chinese National Standard (CNS 1349 , 2008).Its requirement of shear bond strength should be over 7 kgf /cm2. The most suitable condition for preparing resorcinol phenol formaldehyde resin from phenolated moso bamboo is with the molar ratio of phenolated bamboo / F1 / F2 / R=1/0.5/0.34/0.34. The shear bond strength of those resin were able to satisfy the requirements specified in CNS-11031 structural glued laminated wood .
