曾文水庫上游集水區位於嘉義縣大埔鄉和阿里山鄉西南部,其森林現況仍不清楚,本研究目的為了解本區維管束植物資源、植物社會型和影響植群的主要環境變數,供集水區上游植群復育之參考,而有助於水源之涵養。本研究共設置34個20 × 20 m2樣區,涵蓋森林和草本的植物社會,並量測10項環境變數。研究結果顯示維管束植物有715種,其中21種為稀有植物。另外本區域發現少量台灣山茶族群,但現況不佳。透過非計量多向度量尺法、降趨對應分析和雙向指標種分析劃分出4個植物社會型,包括台灣蘆竹-五節芒型、月橘-龍眼型、江某-咬人狗型和台灣雅楠-台灣苦櫧型。經Monte Carlo顯著性測驗和典型對應分析得知海拔、喬木層高度、地表裸露率、喬木層覆蓋度和坡度為解釋本區植群變異的主要變數。海拔上段的天然植生森林較為多樣,喬木層高度和喬木層覆蓋度較海拔下段高。
Due to paucity of quantitative vegetation site information, the floristic composition, differentiation of plant communities, and major environmental variables relative to vegetation types, were evaluated in order to increase the database about the vegetation ecology in upstream watershed of Zengwen Reservoir, Chiayi County. The aim of this study was to provide information which way assist with future land management practice. 34 plots of 20 × 20 m2 were sampled and ten environmental variables were estimated. The results showed that 715 species of vascular plants were recorded including 21 rare species, and the status of Camellia formosensis (Masamune et Suzuki) M. H. Su, C. F. Hsieh et C. H. Tsou is threatened. Four community types were classified using NMDS, DCA and TWINSPAN, such as: Arundo formosana - Miscanthus floridulus type, Murraya paniculata - Euphoria longana type, Schefflera octophylla - Dendrocnide meyeniana type, Phoebe formosana - Castanopsis formosana type. By CCA and Monte Carlo test, it showed that altitude, height of tree layer, exposed, cover of tree layer and slope were the important environment variables to explain floristic composition and distribution. The natural vegetation of upper altitude were more diversity than those of the lower altitude. The height and coverage of tree layers on upper altitude natural vegetation were more than those of the lower altitude.
