耐力運動後補充樹薯對肌肉肝醣儲存量及運動能量代謝之影響

Effect of Cassava Supplementation on Muscle Glycogen and Energy Metabolism after Endurance Exercise.

摘要


本研究目的探討運動訓練後攝取樹薯萃取物對耐力運動表現與肌肉肝醣及運動能量代謝之影響。四十隻(Sprag-Dawley)雄性SD鼠為實驗動物,分為控制組(C組,n¬=10)、運動組(EX組,n¬=10)、樹薯組(CC組,n¬=10)與運動加樹薯組(EXC組,n¬=10)。運動組(EX組)與運動加樹薯組(EXC組)進行五天的耐力運動訓練,並且於每次耐力運動結束後,樹薯組(CC組)與運動加樹薯組(EXC組)以胃管方式給予1克樹薯萃取物溶液。經過一天的禁食後,運動組(EX組)與運動加樹薯組(EXC組)之實驗鼠進行運動至耗竭,接著運動耗竭結束後犧牲收集肌肉與血液樣本。研究結果顯示經過實驗期後四組之實驗鼠重量皆有顯著的變化,經事後比較分析後,樹薯組(CC組)之實驗鼠重量變化顯著高於其他三組。在運動耗竭時間表現上,運動加樹薯組(EXC組)平均64.81分鐘顯著長於運動組(EX組)平均42.60分鐘。在腓腸肌(gastrocnemius)肝醣含量方面,運動加樹薯組(EXC組)平均20.11 ± 5.22μmol/g顯著高於其他三組;在比目魚肌(soleus)肝醣含量方面,運動加樹薯組(EXC組)與樹薯組(CC組)皆顯著高於控制組(C組)與運動組(EX組)。在運動耗竭後能量代謝方面,胰島素濃度無顯著差異(p>0.05),運動組(EX組)游離脂肪酸顯著低於其他三組。本研究結論運動訓練後攝取樹薯萃取物可有效提昇肌肉肝醣含量,進而延緩運動疲勞的發生。

The purpose of study was to determine the effect of cassava extract supplementation on endurance exercise performance and muscle glycogen and energy metabolism after endurance exercise. Forty Male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into four groups: control(C, n=10)group, exercise(EX, n=10) group, cassava (CC, n=10) group, and exercise with cassava (EXC, n=10)group. The rats in the CC and EXC groups were given 1g cassava extract by stomach intubation after endurance exercise for five days. After one night fasting, the rats in EX and EXC groups exercised until exhaustion and were sacrificed for the collection of muscle and blood samples after exhaustion exercise. Results: Although the change of rat’s body weight in four groups during the experiment period showed a significant change, only the weight changes of rats in CC were significantly higher than those in other three groups after post hoc analysis. The time of exercise exhaustion in the EXC group(64.81min)was significantly longer than in the EX group(42.60min). The glycogen storage of gastrocenimus in the EXC group(20.11 ± 5.22μmol/g) was significantly higher than that in the other three groups. The glycogen storage of soleus in the EXC group and CC group were significantly higher than those in the C group and EX group. With respect to energy metabolism after exercise exhaustion, there were no significant differences in insulin concentrations among the four groups(p>0.05). Free fatty acids were significantly lower in the EX group than those in other three groups. Conclusion: Ingesting cassava extract can increase rats’ muscle glycogen after exercise training and delay exercise inducing fatigue.
